Yes, it IS pretty quiet here!
We just got a new TV set and we're busy watching everything...it all looks so much better on this new one. I didn't think we needed it but oh what a difference from a ten-year-old model. I may even get a new littler one for my sewing room.
Also got a new washer and dryer, but they're not as much fun to watch.

So, here's some A+ e-liquid talk to get back on track...

I found out what Rasputin needs--a little Alpha Centauri. And guess what Alpha Centauri needs? Yep, a little Rasputin. @Poeia I know you have some Rasputin steeping, but if it doesn't quite do it for you (it might not, I think it needs something to jazz it up), you might want to try mixing in a little Raspberry Sunset (raspberry lrth a peach/nectarine). It might not be quite your fabulous ARC, but it might come close enough. It's decent cheesecake, and a decent raspberry, it just needs something. I've never had the Raspberry Sunset, but from knowing the Strawberry Sunset, I think it might work.

Strawberry Vanilla Cake-- Why did I wait so long to try this? It's great, but it needs a fair amount of heat to really come through and it caramelizes coils like crazy. That might be its downfall for me, but while I'm still using up a huge back log of coils I bought on a great sale, I don't care.

Sapphire--tastes amazing when you hit its sweet spot, but totally bland a hair below, and burnt a hair above.

I have some other new (to me) things to discuss, but I have to go to bed. I have a nasty cold, so at this point most things are "good-ish" or "bad-ish", but I have some opinions from before, and hopefully I'll be on the mend within a couple of days. This week I'm really hating being a teacher, because it's so much more trouble to plan for a sub than it is to just suck it up and go teach. I guess it's a trade-off, because some jobs have no paid sick leave, whereas I have around 130 days saved up because it's too much work to use them...

I ordered some coffee vapes under custom, 70/30, 6 nic, blends for my man and wanted to get an opinion on steep time. They are a month old now but Kents Blend still as an odd taste...burnt pop corn but it's fading. Also have Ahl Mocha. Do these need several months to get happy so to speak? Thanks!

I'm still trying to decide if I like Billow Berry. I swear I taste a custard note of some sort and that may be why I'm attracted to it. I haven't tried many blueberry juices so that could be why I'm clueless.

Sweet Surrender is another I'm on the fence about. I need to put this in a tank and vape it all day to decide but I only have 7mls left.

Strawberry Cream I can't taste at all. Some days I feel like my tongue just stops working on me. It's been steeping for 3 months now, 50/50, 30ml glass. Maybe I need to transfer it to a plastic bottle and see if that helps. Is this one really subtle?

My Alton max vg was a big nope, darn that mint flavoring! I think I will give up on orange juices for awhile from any vendor, they all have a chalky/candy taste to me.

Give those buds time to recoup. It took mine a year before I could actually really appreciate some of the more subtle Ahlusion.

About to give up on Shipwreck after a month steep. Straight up Fritos Corn Chip taste. I can't really make out what else is in there. I suspect too much Acetyl Pyrazine. Anyone else had this problem?

Sorry, but do not believe for one minute Ahlusion would put any Acetyl Pyrazine in anything they make! It's MSDS lists it as "harmful by inhalation".

Congrats on all the new appliances! I can imagine that the tv is a huge improvement. We were going to buy a new washer/dryer when we got the house but it came with a 9 year old set. It's so much better than the 15 year old set I was using so we kept it.

I love Billow Berry and Sapphire mixed. I didn't have enough Sapphire left to fill my tank so I added it to the Billow Berry. Now I'm addicted to it that way!

Strawberry Cream is a mild flavor. I think they've all steeped long enough that they're not going to change any more. Have you tried any of the coffees sweetened? I drink mine that way so they taste better to me with sweetener added.

I didn't taste mint in Max Alton. It was just terrible.

Calypso is amazing! So many of the new flavors have so much more flavor to them. Hawaiian Sun, Wild Passion, Lychee Coconut Smoothie, and Cheehu Cocktail are all excellent, too. Saturday Morning is such a shock. I've always loved Fruit Loops!

I finally tried a sample of Strawberry Sunset. The best Strawberry ever!

Haha, I initially read that as 'boob trap' lol, I had reconstructive breast surgery 5.5 weeks ago. The right one is trying to misbehave, and I had to go get sutures put in it yesterday :/ So boob trap it is for me, lol!

To stay on topic, I'm expecting a package today with Boba Tea, Boba Tea Strawberry, and Royal Tease. BT Strawberry and Royal Tease are new to me but still ordered 30mL samples

Also, Shipwreck for me is a pretty yummy toasty coconut lime tobacco...just takes too long to steep into that for me so I don't order it often. No fritos here

Were you referring to Acetyl Propionyl by chance?
Acetyl Pyrazine is commonly used in many eliquids, especially tobacco blends for a nutty or bready note, and I'm not aware of any safety issues concerning it's use. Too much can cause your juice to taste like tortillas or Fritos and that's exactly what I'm getting from Shipwreck. I'm puzzled. Maybe got a bad mix? I let them know when they asked for feedback and they didn't blow up about it. Just said report back in another couple weeks.

Understandable. Yes, in it's pure form it is an "irritant" if inhaled, as are most concentrated flavorings. The MSDS sheet you linked to is from 2007. It has since been updated as of 2014 to specifically state that this compound is NOT a Diketone, and it's use is GRAS. I'm assuming that comment was added because this is now a common ingredient in eliquid.
I want to get those flavors from Shipwreck that everyone else enjoys. I'm just not right now. I've had similar issues (not Frito's though) with other AHL tobacco liquids in the past. There just may be something in there that doesn't work with my taste buds.

I never expect a place to tell me it's secrets (unless you are talking about those juice manufacturers who consider the PG/VG ratio a secret.) And, if they say a flavor is a "tropical blend" I'll say that I don't vape (or eat) coconut, pineapple or grapefruit. Should I order it? They don't have to tell me which of the unholy trio are in it or in what combo -- just "will I hate it?"
