If you are going to speed steep using warm water, first open the juice to allow new air to get in the bottle, put the lid back on, shake it up really well and make sure the water temp doesn't exceed 140 degrees. I read a lot about it and learned that if you put water in a crock pot on the lowest setting and leave the lid cracked a bit, the water won't exceed 140. Then you are supposed to leave the juice in the water for about four hours. When the four hours are up, open it to allow more fresh air in, replace the lid and shake it like crazy. After it comes back to room temp, you can try vaping it, but usually I just put it in a dark place for a few days before trying it. The reason you don't want the water to be above 140 degrees is so it doesn't degrade the nicotine. I am very sensitive to the nic level of my juice and I have never felt like the Crock Pot steeping I have done has lowered the nic level of my juice.

Good luck to you. I hope your juice turns out to be exactly the way you want it.

Thankyou!!! Great tips! I'm going to heat up my zero nic juice first. I prefer the 0 normally but could never get it in XPress flavors. I just hope they launch the elite line soon and it includes my flavor. I go through about 90 mls of the stuff per week! I vape a lot:)

One more day in Paradise here. We come home tomorrow...back to reality. My kids said that it did snow a little bit over the weekend back home. They stayed home. I am on a rewards trip for my business. All expenses paid (except the taxes for winning).
I am making do with only 5 set-ups and 6 different juices. Shipwreck, Lychee Coconut Smoothie, and Strawberry Sunset are on vacation with me! I also took a tank with Caramel Apple and another tank with Sleigh Ride. Gotta take your favorite juices when you go on vacation!!

FYI....from Ahlusion's FB page:

To all our Michigan friends: it appears that the USPS has a "1 Day" shipping rate which is automatically applied to shipping rates in certain areas/zip codes. Because of this the rates were not discounted on our website. This issue has now be resolved - shipping in Michigan is still free; please contact us through our website if a free shipping option isn't listed. Free Shipping and In-store Pickup

If you have even a couple of drops left in an old bottle, you could try "seed steeping". I often find that works. Put a little of the new stuff in the old bottle, and give it a good shake, then use a little of it. I kind-of add more as I go, and that helps get me through until the new stuff is good to go. Hope that helps!

So, I'm not the only one who does this . . . :D:thumbs::thumbs:

I also buy the Lemon Cream, Jump and Jive, Crisp Melon and Lime cream...I mix them together at times. But the Lemon Vanilla Cake is my #1. Lime Cream and Jump and Jive seem better unsteeped than my fave LVC. This company rocks. I'm just missing my perfect out of the box DV!

Your juice list just literally made my mouth water. :) Ahlusion sure does citrus well, no?

I messed up and created a new account instead of changing my password. I called and they added my gold member status to my new account. They have excellent customer service. If you don't think you're getting your discount, call them and they'll take good care of you. One of the many reasons I love this company!

How do I tell if my "Gold" status has transferred to the new site? Don't see anything under my account....[/Q

Yes!!! I'm SO hooked it's silly! I've gone through many phases with this company. I started with their coconut flavor...I still get it now and then. But I'm stuck on lemon/lime for now and can't seem to enjoy anything else! Waiting for my next big order...trying to make my 60mls of Vanilla Lemon Cake last! I have Crisp Melon, Sublime and some Jump and Jive as back ups. I wish I could order by the gallon! :)

"Seed Steeping", I have never heard of this technique. I'm curious, how good does it work and how much are we talking about, like 1ml or .5ml ??

@JGD Jessa, I'm so glad you, a long-time Ahlusion fan, found our little home here. We're kind-of hidden away in the deep dark recesses of ECF, so this thread can get a little slow, but we are all die-hard A+ fans, and because we're tucked away here in the lounge, it's OK if we go off topic, talk about hardware or vacations, or even DIY or (from time to time) other vendors, or even (as we all do sometimes) gush unabashedly about Ahlusion.

Oh, and @LouisLeBeau , if you are heading out to the mothership, could you please tell them that some people are VERY DISPLEASED that Yin Yang is no longer on the menu, even though said people (OK, me) sent glowing feedbacks, and were not given the chance to vote for it on the website. I didn't even know it was on the chopping block until it was gone!

Well, it does seem to help some. The more of the well-steeped stuff you have left to add the new stuff to, the better.

So, I should just start to experiment with amounts then ?? I can do that, I was just wondering if I can go with like a 1 to 1 ratio and cut the steep time in half, or doesn't it work out like that so good ?? I imagine I would have to shake the heck out of it a couple times a day for like a week though.

Edit: I'm thinking of Fresh stock and adding Older (month old) Steeped stock to it.

I wouldn't say this is an exact science (and if it is, I'm not the scientist to answer your questions). I just find that it seems to help a lot when I have a brand new batch of an ejuice that I prefer steeped, but just can't wait to vape. I put some in the old bottle, and shake it up. It seems to help give it some of the steeped richness that I want. It seems to speed up the steeping a bit. I have no system or proof, though. Yes, you should definitely experiment with amounts, and if you come up with any solid data, please share it with us here. :)

Thanks Lisa. I will do that, or try to at least.

I'm just replying to the edit here: I don't know how much that would do. When I think about seed steeping, I just put a little new juice in an older (much older!) bottle that has a little of the same juice left in it. I often let my Ahlusion steep for several months, and the last dregs in a bottle might be 6 months or more aged, then I add a little of the brand new stuff to it, just so I can enjoy it immediately. It's more of a technique I use when I have let myself run dangerously low on a favorite juice that I can't live without, but prefer well-steeped. I would think adding some month-old juice to a brand new bottle wouldn't change it much. But I would still be interested in hearing any results of experimentation!

Some of us die hard Ahlusionati enjoy our juice well steeped. I have some 6 months old (and more) that is like fine wine to me. My usual time to wait is 4 to 6 weeks. Cap off a minute the first few days and shake shake, then put away for weeks. Once I do get it out and try some I always leave some left to get to that 6 month point. This is when I think it is glorious. Obviously this takes a system of buying and stocking up.

Just a brief note to let you all know (since this is the only thread on which I post here):
I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I had my first (neoadjuvant, meaning before surgery) chemo yesterday. I'm feeling good so far, thanks to some very expensive anti-nausea meds. I am not a religious person, so all I could want from you guys would be jokes and/or silly cat videos.

I was unable to find any date about vaping during this time, just the usual advice on ways to quit smoking...and hey! it isn't lung cancer! So I'm planning on continuing with it (like I could just lose that addiction, anyway); at this time of stress, I really need it.
I also bought a really nice wig, so don't be surprised when you see my new avatar --it's straight hair! Also having fun making some hats and scarves.

Can't "like" that post @PennyLynn

All I can do is send lots of good thoughts your way and look for some silly cats.

Smoking pot is considered a valuable tool in anti-nausea chemo treatment. As with cigarettes, there is combustion so there is tar and carbon monoxide. So I wouldn't worry about vaping, which produces neither of those.
