Why is grapefruit called grapefruit, when the is already a fruit called grape, and neither has anything to do with the other? Thanks for the review! I also am a grapefruit hater, so I will steer clear.

Shoot. I assumed "citrus" was lemon or lime. I hate grapefruit. Oh well, it's only a sample size. :)

You may be surprised. This is an amazing melange of the best virtues of the fruits in it, without the worst. There is no sourness, or bitterness to this at all. Imagine someone has already freed all the sections of a very ripe one, taken out the citric bite and the sourness often found in grapefruit. A 'Fruit cup" if you will. I stopped letting my feelings about any particular flavor, stop me from trying Wlads take on it a LONG time ago.

I'll taste it but in a fruit cup I throw out the grapfruit.
When I was a kid my mother often served grapefruit as an appetizer. She finally let me skip it because the only way I would eat it was with about a quarter inch of sugar on top.

How about GrapeNuts?

I hate that my words caused a few to jump to a conclusion. Grapefruit is not something I would look for in a vape either (although I do not hate it). Guess this is what I meant when I said it is just enough. You taste the best of it. No bitterness or twang.

The description for Oasis does not say "grapefruit" - it says "prickly pear fruit with citrus highlights". That said, I like grapefruit - umm with sugar on it - so I'll have to give it a try sometime.

I got Jade Dew with "Touch of Mint" as a sample. I haven't tried it yet, but it smells DELISH! Kinda smells vaguely like peppermint bark, actually. Might be a gunker, though, as it's amber colored, FOOB.

The story behind Oasis, for me. I was really enjoying a local store brands sherbet that that was called summer fruit. It had grapefruit, cactus fruit and something else, maybe guava (this was a couple years ago) I emailed Wlad and asked him to consider making something like this. He sent me a bottle of something called "Prickly Fruit" that he had 'in the works" told me he would probably change the name before release. He did change the name to Oasis. This is how I surmised that it had grapefruit. Not sure what the fruit is that I taste that is unlike no other. Maybe Guava or cactus fruit

You've inspired me. I have some Oasis and I'm going to try it again.
I don't taste a flavor unless I know enough to "look for it"...my quirky taste buds. But I am the Queen of tart flavors and your description made it sound so good!
By the way, I went for my 4th chemo yesterday, and I have to say I feel lucky! I was the "healthiest" person in the chemo lounge. There were two women, older than me there, both with breast AND lung cancer. One also had an oxygen tank with her and she has a heart condition. I am going to get past this and be just fine!

I can't wait to try the AHL's Wild Passion because I've heard so many say such good things about it. I love grapefruit, but I am used to the Ruby Red variety of grapefruit that's grown in Texas. It is sweet, tart and delicious! It's on the bitter side, but it's not bitter. Still, I wouldn't think of looking for a grapefruit vape either. If I hadn't loved everything I had ever tried from AHL, I might shy away from it, but it is one I look forward to trying.

Aww, that is tough to hear about the other ladies. But I am SO glad that things sound like they are going very well for you! We're all rooting for you, Penny! Staying tuned in for good news.

Is it light in color? Does it get dark and gunky as it sits? I'm still looking for a not-too-sweet, clean, clear substitute for my Pear and Peach White teas.

BTW, I can't find a white tea flavoring, but I did find a "not fermented, more floral and light green tea" flavoring from FA. Any thoughts?

PennyLynn, you're in my thoughts.

It is very clear in color, no dark or gunky look at all. My bottle is over a year old

I have a green tea from FA, Katya, and it has been a VERY long time since I used it but I definitely recall that it was VERY mild, tasty, and agreeable to fruit recipes. I used half the bottle, and many were not even touched when I gave up DIY, so that should say something for it.

I had Oasis for quite awhile, and I don't recall it darkening whatsoever. Also, is most assuredly not a coil gunker if gotten unsweetened. :)

:lol::lol::lol:

I had no idea grapefruit was so controversial! :D I personally like it, but then I'm not sure I have ever met a fruit I didn't enjoy.

Nevertheless, how it got its name IS a fascinating question . . . as well as how "Grape-Nuts" (yum) got their name . . . :)

PennyLynn, I'm so glad to hear of your good reports! Still holding you up in my prayers! :)

Jump N Jive! I made the journey to HQ today, to take advantage of my last "Upgrade 3 10ml's to 60ml's" offer. Going to miss that amazing dealio, been spoiled ROTTEN the past 6 months.

While there, I expressed interest to Zack in some higher nic to keep in my saddlebags. Often I go a LONG time between vapes while riding, and then just stop to take a few puffs. High nic does the job of keeping me in the saddle all day.

"Oh, we have the clearance rack of 18mg and 24mg" errr... how much? "$3 for 30ml" WUT?!?! Apparently, high nic is NOT a good seller these days. All show being beyond the "Best by" dates, but if I remember correctly, Wlad was labeling these for 6 months, when they should have been labeled for a year out from mix date. And of course, I have that 4 year old Pink Label experience to tell me that THAT is a conservative estimate..

I'll be heading back in a few days to pick up my Custom order. If anyone would like me to pick them up some of these, I can do it. A small box USPS priority is $6.50 or so, and will probably hold a dozen. A LOT of different tobacco flavors, and there is more variety in 24mg, but this is pretty much the offerings of 18mg.
