Shame on your oncologist. Just because he told you that it wasn't a side effect of your cancer treatment doesn't mean it wasn't part of his job. While you're under his care, everything that happens to your body should be important news to him -- symptoms, medications, reactions, etc. At the very least, he should have referred you to a pulmonologist and received a copy of your records.

And do try the "no battery" method. Sucking on a pacifier that tastes like my e-liquid does help.

I appreciate your point...I was surprised at this, believe me. But I do think bronchitis was a good diagnosis, and I'm pretty sure that I'm doing the right thing. I've had plenty of tests all along, and blood workups on a weekly basis. I'm feeling pretty good these days and I look forward to getting the mastectomy over with, so that I can move on with the rest of the steps that will take me to "all done, already!"

I will see you all on the other side (of the OR)! Hoping I do so well that they send me home the same day (the nurse who told me to come at 6 A freaking M said I might).

Lots of love to you, PennyLynn! I know you will do great because you have the best attitude! Please let us know how you are doing after as soon as you can!

I'm home! I don't quite understand it, but I have almost zero pain...just very minor soreness under my arm. This went so well. I read many descriptions of women staying in bed for weeks. I came home, made Eric a sandwich, and sent him out to get my pain meds.
I even get to remove most of the bandages and shower tomorrow!
I had a room mostly to myself while I was there (they sent up an emergency admission for a few hours, and her adorable granddaughter was there for a while, which was fun). I even did a little zero-nic stealth vaping lol. I got some tips from the "Lung-ology" Dept and a tube to enhance my inhaler use. Breathing is much better now and I think the bronchitis, or whatever it was, is just about gone.
I think we'll watch "Keanu" tonight...I wanted to save it for when I was done with surgery. Sounds like the perfect silly comedy.
Thanks for all the good thoughts! I think they worked!

Hooray!!! "Almost zero pain" is a very good thing.

"Lung-ology" is a good name for it. My computer underlines it in red so I'll know it's misspelled but it also underlines "pulmonology" so might as well go with the fun version.
