I just looked at the price on the xtreme nic...

Sam, you aren't giving specifics, so I don't have a clue what you are talking about. I pay $17.10 for 60ml of 36mg nic juice shipped. Personally, I have never found nic juice that cheap anywhere else in two and a half years of vaping. Please re-read my post, I believe I said for the true DIYers. If you are comparing flavored juice, then you are not a true DIYer and xtreme very well might not be for you. I don't ever recommend any vendor's flavored juice including xtreme.
However, I do recommend medical grade nic juice over pesticide grade nic juice any day, any time. It's your health so by all means do with it what you will, but I have grave misgivings about the pesticide grade nic juice whether it be flavored or unflavored, so I won't use it at any price, not even if it's free.

What's scary the 100mg nic? If you use proper protection including gloves, sleeves closed toed shoes, long pants and goggles/mask it can be safe. But you are 100% right, it should be regarded as scary, and not taken lightly. I trust wizard labs nic, and it is a great price. If you read that page windy linked they explain that it is pure and handled in a safe facility.
LOTS of DIY folks use wizard labs. But that is not to say that xtreme isn't better, I just can't afford to spend more than I need to

i'm about through my first bottle of 100mg and its still as clear as water.i'm just pulling out 3ml at a time.i cut back to 32mg
Wow 32 mg is hardcore windy I started at 36 and worked my way down to 18mg. I could cut it down more but I vape for a throat hit so what's the point .

Sam, personally 100mg is scary to me, but that isn't why I said it was scary. The broad claims that Wizard Labs makes and the prices they charge raise a huge red flag. They are careful not to claim medical grade and their safety warnings are a major overkill which indicates a possible fear of law suits for selling an inferior product. Two old sayings came to mind when I reviewed the Wizard Labs website: "If it seems too good to be true, its probably not" and "You get what you pay for".
With all the cheap unsafe hardware knockoffs all over the net, it's certainly not a stretch to believe that there are cheap unsafe nic labs as well. Even though my income is buried deep below poverty level, I don't have a death wish. I wouldn't trust Wizard Labs as far as I could throw a truck load of elephants. It's my life and my health, so I have that right, but its also just my opinion and no its not even worth two cents in the broad scheme of things.

when dealing with chemicals the two issues are purity and concentration.
the idea of medical grade certainly refers to purity, but chemicals not identified as medical grade may also be sufficiently pure. and medical grade isn't necessarily the purest grade available. In the lab we sometimes use molecular biology grade reagents (which are actually more pure than medical grade), sometime medical grade, and sometimes we use reagents that are only 97% pure. What you want depends on the application, and unless you get a lot number and an analysis sheet that comes with your purchase, you're basing it on trust. And both of you purchase from those you trust, and you base your choices on your own cost-benefit analysis of what's most important.
For vaping purposes you want the highest purity of nic that you can get, and should make sure you have the means to deal safely with whatever concentration you purchase.
IMO, The bigger safety issue is related to concentration. Is the nic that you buy the concentration that you expect it to be? Hello, I am new to the forum. I live in the Selma area.. Have been smoke free since October of 2010. Glad to see that there are others in Alabama vaping. This was the best thing that I have ever done. Was able to put down analogs the first week out. Tried a couple of times to smoke an analog but, found out that I could not stand the taste. It is so nice to be able to breath and not cough anymore. I started out on the pen style and got scared of the batteries. It would activate in my purse and melt the tip. I switched over to the Provape 1 which was really a big difference. Have recently up graded to the Provari mini. Never knew that a higher voltage to could make such a difference in the taste of the e-liquid.

What's up everyone! Never used/joined a forum before so here goes nothing. Started vaping two weeks ago and haven't picked up a analog since. The biggest factor for me to change over was the convenience of having a brick and mortar close by to buy my products. Thank you Vulcan Vape. You are a life saver, literally!
