Okay, I'm not much of a drinker, but sometimes I do like to have one and I KNOW when I have one I LOVED my tobacco ciggys. I have not had a drink since the e ciggy and was thinking of having one tonight. I'm scared it will trigger me to wanting tobacco instead of my e ciggy. Can those of you that understand what I'm saying give me some opinions and thoughts before I partake and don't go off the deep end. LOL Thanks!

Hey Lucky:

If you're serious, you'll be OK. I had a similar situation... I was worried that I would relapse if I went out drinkin' - so out I went, to a bar where the bartender knows me and there's a free drink in front of me before I even ask for it. I even had real cigs on me at the time (for the true test). The ecig won out no problem. I vaped quite a bit, but not lighting up was easy. In fact, the ecig was quite a conversation starter.

I mean, you're going to have to handle all kinds of situations without analogs now. Just make sure you have extra batteries and stuff on you when you go out.

If anything, I find that vaping goes better with alcohol than analogs. I do find that I vape more when I'm out for a drink, but that's about it.

Roger that!! I have had no problems drinking and vaping. It is actually better for me because I smoked too much when I drank and couldn't breathe the next morning. I don't have that problem now :) At first the analogs were tempting with a beer, but I don't give them a second thought now.

I know exactly what you mean and I was worried about this too. Friday night I had a few drinks and the e-cig did the trick. I didn't want an analog at all. Plus I felt better the next day. When I drink I tend to smoke more than usual and the next day I could always tell I had a few too many analogs. Not the case now that I vape! :)

I confess. I like to drink. Sometimes to excess :D

I was afraid I would end up smoking but as long as I have plenty of battery and plenty of liquid, I have no desire for a smoke - vaping is easy :)

However, if I'm low on batteries, I will end up smoking.

The neat thing about it is that I didn't realize how bad smoking a pack or two a night while drinking was making me feel. I mean, of course, alcohol can make you feel like crap the next day but I was getting cigarette hangovers more than alcohol hangovers. Like I said, I drink. Jagermeister even. You may want to make sure you've got your highest nic content though...

Me too...and I agree:D

No Jager though. I had too much once, about 12 years ago and haven't touched it since then. I can't even stand the smell now! lol

Sounds like me with Scotch. I stole a bottle of Chivas Regal from my parents liquor cabinet when I was 15 and chased it down with some orange tang. I got so sick I swore I'd never drink it again. That was 30 years ago and I still have kept my promise!:D

I haven't started vaping yet, but I completely understand a lot of your views, and was kind of worried about the same thing once I do start vaping.

Also, I realized that I'd smoke almost an entire pack within the 5-6 hours of drinking. I'm a half-a-pack a day smoker so I'm not used to this, I just tend to smoke like a train while drinking. I'd wake up and my throat would hurt much more than the slight headache and acidic beer farts.

One other thing, the smell of 151 makes me gag now. I can drink an entire fifth of JD if I felt like it, but one wiff of 151... It's because one time when I was younger I thought I'd be a badass and take like 5 shots of 151 in one big gulp. Needless to say, I puked in an hour or so and napped for about 5 hours to wake up and puke again. :(

oops... forgot..

on topic... if you REALLY want to not smoke that analog.. you should do fine.. doesn't work well for me.. but then again.. i started vaping because i was looking for something i enjoy MORE than smoking... it has worked as such.. but it hasn't stopped my desire for the real thing.. i'd have to be honest and say i could prolly do it if i TRIED.. but im not in the mood for the fight right now :)

Drinking has always been the dealbreaker whenever I tried to quit smoking in the past. Of the 23789 times I had tried to quit, every single time the reason I started again was because I just could NOT drink without smoking. And I wasnt about to stop drinking...

But I was absolutely blown away at how easy it was for me to just vape and not smoke analogs while drinking. I've passed the test now about a dozen times, each time getting nice and sloshed, but still not one analog smoked. This is a HUGE step for me, being able to drink right along side analog smokers and still resist the urge...

I also used to turn into a chimney when drinking, and am stoked that I dont have to deal with the analog hangovers anymore now as well.
