Alcohol flavor e-liquid . . . buzz?

To make a long story short. I'm 3+ yrs. in sobriety. Recently working on the nicotine habit which, is how I came to vape. Recently ordered a series of alcohol flavored blends from ecblendflavors.com. I ordered all of these without nicotine and extra flavoring on 70/30 blend. Playing with fire, to get the taste but none of the sin. It backfired, they all taste crappy. I don't get any recall of the flavors in any of the blends I got.

However, in my stick I presently have a cognac and bourbon mixed in (like I said, none have the actual flavor like, so it's not like cognac and bourbon taste, ewww). I've been sitting here hitting for a bit. I got up and I felt a strange recall. Like a buzz, tingly around my scalp, a little light and airy on the feet, sorta euphoric.

IS IT POSSIBLE? Do they even use actual alcohol for these things? And if they did, is possible I can get a buzz? Or am I being all psychosomatic right here?




So I appreciate all the sobriety encouragement. However, I don't see the relevance. For me alcohol is something I shouldn't consume. It's that simple. I didn't see vaping having any possible relevance. Alcohol is not acid that is going to burn my skin alive. It's not like I don't use Listerine. This Thanksgiving I'm working on a Jack Daniels brined turkey. Alcohol is not an evil in my perception, it's just something I can't drink, that's just it.

So now back to the topic. Is the question I posed above possible?

If you're on the wagon why in the HECK would you want to torture yourself by getting booze flavored juice in the first place. It's probably psychosomatic but on the other hand I once vaped a FINITI cigalike that gave me the same sensation and then noticed that ethanol was listed as one of the ingredients.

Its known that some places do use alcohol in there juices. You could try leaving the juice uncapped in a safe place to allow some evaporation.

I have no idea how much effect the alcohol in some e-juices actually effect the body. It may be so little as to not make any significant effect.

One does not need AA for sobriety. So to assume someone is taking part in that particular method is faulty.

I personally think you should go ahead and allow the juice to sit and evaporate in a cool dark place. Like a medicine cabinet.

Everyone is staying on topic. You're dancing with the devil. Of course it's possible. If there's any alcohol in the juice, you're vaporizing it and it's going into your body. Duh! Is that what you want?

The fruit, food, patry stuff is just nasty to me. If I want those flavors I'll just eat them. I don't get smoking them for that.

I've been on the wagon for about three months now and would never want to vape something that tastes like alcohol, and if I even thought I was getting an alcohol buzz off my juice I would just toss it. I wouldn't even have to ask, but, hey, that's just me.

Well if one were to simply look at the statistics it doesn't really help.


But yes if you're concerned about the alcohol content in the fluid best to let it evaporate for a bit.

OMG. Lesson learned here. I should have posted this without the whole sobriety thing. Everyone is taking that part of the topic over the top.

Guys, I'm the one 3 years . . . 3 YEARS!!! Sober.

I think I got this. I have no compelling urge to drink. This thing is not about 12 steps, sponsors, a.a., etc. I did enjoy the flavor from time to time back in the day. I won't drink but was seeing if there was a loophole. Turns out, there isn't. This e-juice is plain nasty. Like I originally posted, I will probably mix this with a nicotine blend and flavor shots so I at least won't burn my money by throwing it away.

I was on the wagon for two years and then fell off for seven years so your three years really don't mean anything. I'm just curious. WHY are you concerned that you might be getting drunk off your juice if it has nothing to do with your sobriety??
