The bottom of the pipe is made of aluminum, because it heats up the fastest. In the middle ist a small SS-tube with an ss-mesh inside.
The mesh touches then bottom. The Liqud is dripped from above into the tube. The mouthpiece is a stainless steel tube.
The candlestick and the pipe body are made of hardwood. I recommend at least 3mm for aluminum bottom.
Although then heating takes longer, but you can also take longer vaping.

I hope it has helped you

This makes things interesting for all natural enthusiasts. They make a magnifying glass to use the sun to lite a pipeful these days too. Kind of like getting in touch with the world before all the high tech stuff

Like this one?

Problem with that for lots of people they get hot spots after they put the wick in the coil anyway...
I personally wrap my coil around something lie drill bit close in size to th wick an relative hole. I dont get hot spots that way because the coil isnt putting pressure on the coil. then after attaching coil, I pulse the power to burn it and to stiffen it also.

hope i didn't come off as knocking... i hope you are correct and P K gets all respect... i should give it more than 1 try thats for sure because top coil hot spots especially on the top leg are my damnation lol
It works pretty damn well, and it's so much easier to get a perfect coil. If you've ever seen Petar K's write up (and many of the follow up posts) and procedure (not pbusardo's laughable, half assed implementation) things will fall in place. He was also the one who introduced the unoxidized SS wick to the masses.

You sure you don't have to much tension on the top leg? Also, you might try using a needle to widen the top of your wick a bit to ensure good contact with the top coil.

Anyway, when I use the Petar K method, my wick doesn't just 'slip' in I have to 'screw it' into the coil. That way I know I'm getting good wick to coil contact.
