Just a FYI. There isn't a gap between the simplicity and the Euforia. The Euforia tapers in at the base.

Are the internals of that an exact copy of the Penelope? I ask because if they are then you can adjust the center post when you assemble it (within a mm or two). So you can have a gap or not, whichever you prefer

Speaking of gaps, I just got a used Spheroid today. It mounts flush with no gap . . . but that's because the center pin on it isn't even making contact  It's a perfect fit, otherwise. I'm thinking the previous owner may have modified it to fit their mods, so I've ordered a replacement 510 center pin so I can use it on my Simplicity. Works great on other mods, though, I'll just have to wait a little longer before I can use it on my Simplicity

My Spheroids don't make contact with some P+ caps either (and there is a thread on this topic under Super T). PM sent with the details of the 89¢ solution.

ERA just arrived and looks pretty good on the Simplicity. It doesn't sit flush but I'm pretty sure I can adjust or grind down the center post for a better fit. The pic also makes it look more blue but in person it's more greyish.

I couldn't find the thread you are referring to - care to share this .89 cent solution with the rest of us? :)

Circuit Board Spacer (another vendor, but not a competing product) fits perfectly down in the 510 connection and bridges the gap.

ETA: No details on how this may impact performance. Performance increases from no firing to firing, so that's a plus, and I don't notice diminished power to the atty v. a non-spaced connection with a different cap.

Love that little trick! I'll remember that one because I've had several uses for just such a solution!

V2 here, snork. I don't have any good mics here and am off work for a few days, so no access to them, but it looks like I'm probably around 0.2mm shy of making contact by my best guess. I'll probably give the circuit board spacers a try as a temp fix, I might even have a couple here (though I doubt it) in the stash of misc parts from my mod-building days. In the long term if the replacement center pin doesn't work I have a couple of fairly simple solutions I can whip up at work when I have access to a lathe (on the Shperoid, NOT the Simplicity, I ain't modifying nothin' on that!), though I'd like to avoid that if I can 'cos I'm lazy :p

Right now I have the Simplicity is paired up with a Euforia (Penelope clone). Euforia's brushed finish pairs much better with the Simplicity.

Nice! Good to know about the gap. This is the exact set up ill have! How do you like them paired up together? I actually just received my Euforia in the mail today.

Still waiting for Super T to send my simplicity. Anyone know how long it takes? I ordered Friday
**Edit**
Didn't see my email earlier, I guess they sent it this morning! Super excited!

Sorry if my message was unclear. There isn't a gap with the Euforia and Simplify, the photo just looks like there is due to the Euforia tapering in right before the 510 connection. It is a Euforia design difference than the Penelope which is not tapered.

I am not sure yet if if the parts of the Euforia are interchangeable with the Penelope. I am assuming they are since the same company that makes this is also the one that makes the terminator which has interchangeable parts with the Odysseus.

I have a v2 that won't make contact on a standard p+ cap. I bought a kicklet cap and it works perfectly. It also works on my Shockwave. I'm sure the problem is the spheroid. For whatever reason, I can't get the spheroid base fully screwed together, so the pin doesn't stick out far enough. I think it would work if I could get the spheroid fully screwed together but, alas, I can't.

What version Spheroids do you guys have that have trouble making contact? None of mine (I've scrounged up 4 :) ) have any problem. I'm not up to speed with the versioning on these things but the lowest serial number I have is 1476.
