I'm completely shocked by some who have sat back and done NOTHING to protect the rights of vapers everywhere, yet can feel justified in criticizing people who actually got off their .... and tried to do SOMETHING.
Same people who probably don't vote yet complain the loudest about the government, don't attend school conferences yet complain about the teachers, don't maintain their car yet complain that mechanic fees are too expensive, etc. They demean and criticize those that have to go out and do that work for them.
If you don't like how things are being done, then get off your .... and do something about it. But if you can't or won't, don't complain that things aren't being done YOUR way or how you would have done, had you bothered.
Even as a new vaper, I, for one, already do not want to wait any longer, trusting that someone else will step up for me. Nor listen to naysayers who say "the writing is on the wall." That kind of apathy and resignation will get us what we'd deserve - nothing.
I didn't have any attorney friends to approach, so I am in complete gratitude to the person who actually did something about this. But that doesn't mean I can't do my part in other ways - like the article I wrote and posting rebuttles whenever I see e-cigs misrepresented on the web. I truly believe that getting public support
through education and the dissemination of the truth will help our cause. We, as consumers, need to do that, as retailers and distributors have alterior motives in the public eye.
But just sitting here, doing nothing, yet undermining the confidence and pride of those who do is unconscionable.
As my father used to say, "If you aren't part of the solution, then you're part of the problem." (Also an old African saying.)
Or, as my mother would say, "You, too, could be replaced with a broken switch and be just as useful."
And being from Wisconsin, a quote from Vince Lombardi: "People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defenses, or the problems of modern society."
Smart guy.
Let's all work together to be a part of the solution, shall we?
