Today will be my fourth full day vaping... Yesterday I only had one cigarette, the day before only two, the day before that three...

Today I will not have a cigarette, I will not smoke. I will vape through my cravings and will succeed. I can do this. I will do this.

Today will be the first day of the rest of my smoke free life, also the first day without a cigarette in years.

It breaks my heart to think that now I've been smoking for more years than I wasn't in my life.

Now off to fulfill my goal for the day

You will succeed 1 decision at a time.
You will succeed.
Just remember if you're Jonesing bad for nicotine, hold the vapor in your mouth a few seconds before inhale . It'll get that craving under control faster than a direct inhale. Some on this forum also suggest exhale from the nose helps also.

Good for you! It's much easier then you would think. The added bonus for me was when I went a couple days without a cigarette, when curiosity got to me and I had one, it tasted nasty to me. Now I'll always have that memory to remind me not to smoke. Of course, this doesn't happens to eveyone so your mileage may vary.

Australe you can do this. I started the same way, one day at a time. That's all you can do and that's all you should do. You are exactly right about vaping through the cravings they will diminish as time goes by and become less and less. Another poster gave good advice about holding the vaper in and then exhaling it through your nose, this allows for more nicotine absorbtion. I don't know what mg of nicotine you are on but you may have to increase it if you are having a hard time with withdrawals, just for a while and then you can reduce it. I just had my one year anniversary after 33yrs of smoking and vaping helped me do it so I know you can do this. Good Luck to you and Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Kewl deal Australe. Congrats, when I got my first starter kit, I still had a half pack of smokes left, being one that doesn't like to waste money, I smoked an occasional cig until that 1/2 pack was gone. It lasted me a week. lol. and I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day, and was a smoker for 27 years, that was 9 months ago, and haven't bought a cigarette since. I've upgraded my gear since then, and have some great stuff now. It just keeps getting better.

Vape long and Prosper!!

Currently vaping 12mg, the last two days I was vaping 18mg and kept getting a wicked case of nic head. My husband also hasn't had a cigarette since Tuesday, he however, is going through some withdrawls. I have more availability at my job to vape throughout the day so that'll help as well...

So awesome getting so much support on this forum, THANK YOU ALL!

That's me except I had 2 packs left this past Friday. As of this morning it's still 1 and a half packs left. I've given up my good night cigarette along with the other wasted ones throughout the day . I'm still working on the couple I have in the morning before work, don't carry any with me anymore when I leave home. Not to jack the thread but that decision was the hardest. Realizing my day was partially planned over making sure I had enough cigarettes to make it until I got back home to my carton, making sure I planned to time to get to the cigarette store before opening my last pack made me realize my cigarettes owned me, not that they were a pleasure or just vice. Making the choice each day to leave them home has been the hardest choice each day but also most rewardingso far.

Cool and congrats Australe  Just think one day it's almost certain you'll not only be there for your child's wedding but also be there to run and play with the grandkids.
Again congrats and thank you so very much for the upbeat update. It's posts such as yours that give many the strength and hope to persevere....you're already PIF.
P.S. Nic Head LOLLL gonna have to find or design a pic for that when I have time.
Have a GREAT weekend.

You've already made it.

Drinking some water might help with the fatigue.
