I've only used 801 attys from ikenvape and have loved every one of them. I've tried LR and HV, semi, mini, and talls.

An 801 and a 306 are about as different in usage as two attys can be. 801's like to be sloppy wet and give you vapor and flavor out the wazoo.

Eventually, I'm gonna have funds to ask Rob to build me a Wenge/Wenge Woodvil and I plan to request native 801.

Thanks Lenny and Tripp. I was leaning towards the cisco's or ikens but didn't know which was more "popular". This will be my first 801 experience outside of the 510 stealth cannon attys from iken...

It's definitely cooler, yes it had loads of flavor and vapor, but needs to be kept so wet that you'll need to get your TH from somewhere - enter the 1.5 lol

Considering you're used to a 306, you may not appreciate 2Ω+ 801s. Since you have a native now, may as well try 'em all!

Very nice vape from a good 801, rich and full. For me it's not an all day atty though. Hope that helps :)

+1

I posted over in the lounge and will copy it here when I have more time.

I'm considering 801 on a Red Midi Woodvil. Have to find the wood pretty fast unless Rob has what I want on hand. I'd like to take it to Vegas in Sept.lice

Not counting the 801 Pen Style DH used for many many months before using a Reo.......... But will say that I always got him low bridge attys. The standard ohm rating for those were just under or at 3.0 ohm, at the time.

I have two 801s. I like the IKV 2.0 standard (as I got 20 of them for <$1.50 a piece) but better still the IKV 1.8 Mini. I make my own Semi by cutting down the standard length. I like the Semi length best but they are no longer made. With the 801 the ohm rating acts differently than the 306 and 510. For instance, with some juices <2.0 ohm 510 or 306 might be too hot,but an 801 1.5-2.0 is great. When you go higher than 3.7volt, for 801, knock the ohm rating down as much as 0.5 to 1.5 ohm (or even down 2.0 ohm) compared to what what you ohm you would use with 510 or 306, at a particular voltage. Of course, type of juice has a large influence on what ohm to use.

I just picked up a Wood REO with the 801 connection. I just want to use the 510 and the 306. Looking around the threads for tips on the adapters.
Rob will be doing a check-up on my REO and I have asked him to check the two adapters out on it before sending.
Maybe someday I will venture into the 801 world of attys.
