muaddib,
"second one lasted all of 4 hours, killed another atomizer, went to check if it was dead and it killed the battery."
checked the battery with a third atomizer and it killed that one as well.
checked atomizer and it killed the spare battery."
Why did you continue to sacrifice hardware when you suspected the atomizer was damaged due to a faulty Pass Through? Not a good move in my opinion. I would suggest investing in a cheap volt/ohm meter. With that you can quickly check the health of an atomizer. A healthy atty will have a resistance of 3 to 5 ohms. An atomizer with high or 0 resistance indicates a problem and to not use it.
"until these things get manual switches don't buy them, you'll just end up wrecking your stuff."
Factory defects are a problem no matter what you buy now a days. That's why product warranty and the retailer's customer service is important. I had a problem with my Pass Through when I first got it and Rob at AltSmoke went out of his way to make things right. I suspect he will do the same for you. In my case, the pressure switch on the Pass Through would not turn on to heat the atomizer.
