What are you using the atomizer on? I usually use the 1.5 atomizers on my tornego, but I don't know if the 1.8 atomizers would perform as well with a battery like that (at 3.1v). Have you tried it yet?

ECCO,
Thats all I ever use the LR atty on as its my only PV.
That LR atty ROCKS on the eGo..

Have you tried the 1.5's yet? how do they compare? Regardless, that's great to hear, and you just finished selling me on them. I'd rather buy from from Altsmoke than most, and these should probably last longer than the 1.5's do on the average.

I've been using the 1.5s for about a month now, got some from the first batch. Subsequent *improved* batches may have had some QC issues. A lot of the 'longevity* issues have come from tornego users. The speculation is that the cone, which is designed to hold the atty's heat, causes premature death to the already hotter burning LR attys. My first 1.5 died after 10 days, but I was guilty of using it some on a 4.65v PT. My second one has 3+ weeks on it and still going strong. The newer batches may not be as well made, I haven't needed to restock.

The ~1.8 ohm SLB 510s I just got from AltSmoke seem to vape just as well as the 1.5s. There is more to an atty than the ohm rating. And there is no risk of confusing these with a Joye or Yeti 2.2 ohm 510 atty. The bridge is much bigger. They look just like the 3.3 ohm SLB 510s I've been using some at 5-6v.

All 5 of the ones I got from AltSmoke measured either 1.8 or 1.9 ohms. Each of 'em fired right up - no DOAs and no trouble dry burning most of the primer off.

The only difference between them and the 1.5s I've been using is they have a slightly stiffer draw, and I haven't gotten the harsh, metallic taste I get occasionally from the 1.5s. The vapor may be a bit thicker, and a little more flavor, but it's really close to the same vape.

I've been working this atty pretty hard for 12 hours, but it's still probably not really broken in yet. So far, what's not to love?

Thanks for all the info. I'm beyond glad to hear they feel similar, because even on the tornego, the LR atomizers are my favorite; I prefer them over anything else, and the vape quality/size/time between charges makes it the most satisfying to me. I had the same thoughts regarding the tornego, but the one time I had one die on me after 3 pulls the cover was never even on. I also have one that came unattached to the base revealing its insides, so I have to use the cone for that one. I wonder how much ambient heat would effect anything but the glue holding them together, but I'll make sure to keep an eye on that. Thanks again for all the info!

I have one of these also and for almost a month. Use it on and off as I find certain liquid I use all day burns a bit too much. Also use more juice with this one then the one from Alt. I don't know why, but I do like the one from Rob much better and plan on getting at least 4 more. Soon I will have at least 20 of them as a small stk pile like other atty's I have..
What can I say, I'm a hoard for atty's LOL..

hey halopunker sounds like you picked the winning LR atties.... oh how is the leakage problem.... the ones i got from TW leak like crazy even with 2 drops. I took one apart and they have two holes in between the coil down in the white housing area. Which is where the problem lies.

Im just curious do you get the same atties from the same manufacture as TW or did you find a much better one.... I'm really starting to hate TW's products due to there lack of QC.

Anyway let us know how these atties fare as far as leakage goes. I'm a dripper so leakage issues can differ from one attie to the next. But from what I hear your atties are hitting like a champ. :)

well I guess no one has any leakage issues... come payday I'm going to get me some. Just a few to try out. I haven't had any luck with these LR atties so far (just being cautious no hard feelings). So I'll get 3 to test and if these bad boys hold up after a week.... I'll be back for more.....:)

To me TW's LR atties kick out about the same as the regular atties, and they do last way longer than Nhalors, but they leak like crazy. As for Nhalors the LR 510 atties don't leak nearly as much and they kick out a ton of vapor, but lasted me 2 days each, literally. I just don't get it.... see what I mean no luck at all lol. :)

Out of the 2 LR attys I got from nhaler, one was DOA, and the other, which I have been vaping on for upwards of 2 weeks has the exact same problem ECCO was describing. The atty cover just slips off to reveal the insides...which leads to leakage and a lot of unnecessary trouble. Got 6 of these bad boys from Altsmoke headed my way shipped out today. Can't wait to indulge.

I ordered 2 to try these and I have a question...how do you test them with a multi-meter? I put the positive on the hole of the atty and the neg on the threads, meter on ohms and got 2.2 and 2.5, is this right? I got 2.4 consistently on my regular Joye 510 attys, am I doing something wrong? Anybody else have this?

First you need to touch the leads of the meter together and note the reading you get. This is the meter's internal resistance. Then test the atty as you stated above. Subtract the number you got while touching the leads together, this is your true ohms reading of the atty.
