I suffer from shinyitis and the gottahaveits. Have been kicking around the idea of retooling and going with bottom feeders. I have only used regulated devices in one form or another since I started vaping. I viewed the mechanical scene as nonsense in light of recent advancements in regulated devices.

All that being said, I got a cheap and somewhat highly regarded mech to try out. I did this to see if I would, in fact, like to use something like a reo. I'm still not sure about the Reo but I am totally sold on the mech. This puts the m-class or a dna-40 variant on the back burner until I get a few more shiny mechs.

I don't know if vaping is safe or not. But I know for a fact that the obsession with acquiring gear and changing vape styles puts a mark in finances which in turn puts strain on marriages.

If you like mechanicals a reo is certainly worth a try. I own one and while I rarely use it I won't be parting with it either. My only issue was being able to sqounk fast enough to keep up with my chain vaping. It's a quality device that holds its value and it's about as sexy as a box can get. Oh and sliding the door up and down when you're not vaping is amusing for reason I can't explain.

Next year, maybe I can justify the acquisition of a new toy, for sure a reo. Till then I have to stop new shiny purchases. I am concentrateing on my stockpile of diy. I have wanted one for a while, but every anniversary that comes along, I get sidetracked. This year it was Super T going out, and I knew it was now or never. Next year.

I never wanted to deal with rebuilding, or mechs or any of that mess. Then with the govt doin the crap it's been doing, I realized the only way to make certain that I'd be able to continue vaping the way I wanted to, was to become totally self sufficient with it. This meant getting away from anything that could break. So.....mech mods, no tanks, only RDAs, make my own juice etc. I knew that for me, I would NOT drip. So, that left squonking. Far as I was concerned, the only squonker I was interested in was a Reo. Jup, they're a bit pricey, the blems are much less when he has em, and if you find the blemish at all, it won't be very noticeable. Once you buy it, you'll have it forever. Thanks to some generous folks helping me, I now have a Grand and a mini. Still looking for one more atty that I like as much as the nuppin.
I do have a super long thing I sent to someone else who was asking about the Reo, that kinda summarizes much of what you need to know about em, can send to you or anyone who is interested in having it, just post here or pm.

You're also very welcome to come hangout in the reo forums, ask questions in the lounge, or post threads with questions. There are very knowledgeable and friendly folks, more than willing to answer any questions. I wasn't certain I'd like a mech or the Reo, but I can tell you now, it's by far the best vape I've had, and so easy peasy to deal with after having learned some basic stuff. I cannot ever see me vaping anything else.

If you're still on the fence and want to give squonking a try, there's a cheap ($25) mod/atty combo available on focal and I think fasttech right now called the smokeless owl, or terminator depending on where it's listed. Definitely not as high quality as the reo, and it really is like having a regular rda that you just don't have to drip into, as opposed to most of the reo atties that are a freshly juiced coil/wick, but I'm liking it so far. Reinforces my desire to save up for a reo.
