Am I doing something wrong???

Seems like if i fill a cartridge im getting a throat hit and if i direct drip im not....Plus seems like when i direct drip im not getting much vapor at all. The other wierd thing i've noticed is after i puff a few times on one that i've filled the cartridge and the atomizer is getting warm i still get enough vapor but again no throat hit. Im a complete n00b to this and i think im just doing something wrong....Any suggestions??

i have that problem sometimes, i think personally i drip too much usually 2 or 3 drops on my 510 is just fine anymore i get a flooded thing going on

How many drips are you putting on the bridge?
What kind of PV are you using?
Is it manual or auto?
What level nic is the juice and what kind is it?

Im generally frustrated with it. Im worried maybe i did something like flooded my atomizer and it screwed it up or something and i just dont realize it. The one with the filled cart i use sometimes is my wifes and the one i dripped on a few times is my own. I can't afford new atomizers yet but at the same time i need this to keep working for me as todays only my 3rd day off analogs and i realllllly don't wanna go back

ive also found that if i drip on my atty without adding a drop or so to my cart i dont get any th idk if the filter blocks it or what

Dripping seems to be a science, and one I never perfected, so Ill let the vets answer that one. But Ive been through my fair share of 901's, and I love em for flavor. BUT, they arent well known for throat hit, even when dripping, even on a low resistance. They provide a good, flavorful vapor with less throat hit. They also flood easily. 2 drops if your dripping. the point of dripping is to do so because that coil gets hot FAST on higher volts. But dripping on a standard battery and attomiser seems to be more trouble than its worth, as it wont produce any better, it will just flood faster. If you lighten up teh factor batting a bit, buy 1/3 to 1/2, youll find you like those carts a lot more, and it will be more consistant, and more satisfying. But lifespam of a SLB 901 attomiser is pretty short. My average is 3 days break in, 1 to 2 weeks of good, addictive vapor and flavor, then a sudden drop off. Once it has dropped, I have yet to be able to bring it back. But I still love them 901s, and the chrome atties look SHARP on my Screwdriver.

I feel ya on the atomizers i've only had my ecigg 5 days it seems one of them died already....Think it's been too long to contact the store i bought them from if cleaning it doesn't work??

5 days is short, but Ive had my share of those also. But starting out, feel free to contact the supplier, and they will generally just replace any defective parts. If bought offline, youd have to mail it back, and wait on a return. I'll give you my personal favorite site to buy gear from that is cheap, but also in china. They have everything you could need as far as e cigs also. I use them for BULK purchases, not FAST shipment, as it takes average 10 days to recieve.
Healthcabin.net. Youll find that they have 20 piece attomiser packs sales going on pretty regularly. Shipping is generally $15 ish if you dont buy 250 worth though. I havent bought 901 items from anyone in the states yet, otherwise Id give you those sites also. Im curious where you bought your gear anyhow.

I bought mine from the website createvapor. VERY nice guy gave me a lot of info kept in contact with me and got me my stuff in 2 days time. I'm a lil less frustrated right now but still pretty frustrated over all. I'm thinking i should have just spent extra and gotten a better or model or something cuz im REALLY trying hard to stay off the analogs but i just can't afford to drop much more money into my ecigg for a lil while....

If you feel your atty is flooded, blow as hard as you can thru the open end and get all the juice out. Re-drip 3-4 on an empty atty then as the taste wanes off, add 2 more drops. I've fiddled with cartos, carts, cart mods and nothing satifies my craving more than dripping. Just hang in there and continue to work with your gear and remember ecf is here for support. Thanks a lot for the info....I'll try direct dripping again cuz im getting frustrated by the inconsistency of the cartridges. I'm having to refill or top them off all the time and im not always getting what i need from it to kill my cravings. I think my friend has an extra drip tip im going to try to steal from him haha.

In a pinch, you can use an empty cartridge for a drip tip. Just take all the filling out and replace on your atty after dripping a few drops and vape Also, drink lots of water to help keep your throat "wet" and that will help with TH also. It's all good, you'll make it.

I came up with an idea....The blank carts i ordered and the prefiled ones have a circular black plastic cap with a hole on them....I could theortically use this as a drip tip couldn't i?

If you can pry the little cap off (sometimes they fall off themselves after using for awhile), it's pretty easy to pop back on again, and you could drip that way.

I just received some drip tips last evening and gave it a try for the first time. I have been dripping only (so far using just a stainless steel drip tip) since last night and into this morning, and have found it pretty cool - especially when also doing it on a LR atty for the first time. I expect that I may still need to do carts or even go back to trying cartos if I'm out walking or driving.

Since you mentioned the 901 isn't well known for throat hit and obviously im needing more of one should i be looking at getting a new type starter kit?? Perhaps a USB Passthrough?? I've heard about how great LR atomizers are but know nothing about them or when you would use them or anything. I'm on a budget tighter than a fat kids 2 year old jeans so im trying to figure out the cheapest thing i can do to get me by....

I have various issues with dripping also but I think I am getting better at it. I got the drip tips from Freedomsmoke and they helped a lot, although sometimes even tho I am not getting any flavor or TH I can hear it gurgleing...What did help a LOT is soaking my atomizers in Isopropyl Alcohol and letting them dry over night. It seems that starting from scratch with clean attys does the trick, until after a while they just seem to get all fouled up.
