3 month + vaper here.

Started as most with cig-a-likes but pretty fast upgraded to Provaris and Carto tanks (testing dozens of other options in between).

Anyway - just 2-3 weeks ago I realized that I have a perfect vape set-up:

* Provari
* Boge LR slotted
* SNP tank

I have 3 such sets.

PERFECT VAPE! All day long. Haven't had a single dry hit, flavour is amazing, super easy to re-fill and cartos last very long as long as juice is not too dark.

Why look for anything else, right? :2cool:

I was interested in dripping from the day I found ECF and I wouldn't forget myself if I didn't try it out. So I did.

I purchased eBaron from HouseOfMods.

First, I had to clean it in alcohol before first use (no one told me that, there were no instructions) as first time I tried it it tasted like motor oil. Ok, that one I figured out quickly and problem solved.

Now - the vaping experience...

From the posts here on ECF I was expecting a miracle - something phenomenal. Amazing flavour, big clouds and what not.

I did not get almost any of that.

Flavour - same as with me Boge LR/SNP set-up. Literary SAME!

Vape clouds - on same volts, same as with my carto tank set-up. Maybe slightly more. With higher volts clouds increase but then again I'm almost drinking juice.

Throat Hit - yes, better compared to my set-up. There is a real improvement in throat hit with a device like eBaron.

So the only real positive was improved throat hit (which I could achieve anyway by increase nic level a bit).

Now, the downsides - how the heck do you vape with this device, lol? :p

I have to drip 5 drops once every 10 inhales or less. I get the idea of process etc. but this is just so inconvenient compared to carto tanks! Dripping all day long + getting a dry hit every time to know you have to drip again? At the end of the day I managed to flood my Provari for a FIRST TIME ever by adding 7 drips instead of 5, lol

So people tell me - what's so special about dripping atomizers? Why do you love and use them compared to carto tanks?

Or I'm missing something here?

Cheers!
Andy

P.S. I mostly wanted to use my eBaron for testing juices BUT it's actually not as easy as I expected. You still have to clean and dry burn the coil (hassle) before trying a new juice, if you want 100% clean taste. You can't just drip over new juice - flavours will mix.

It's much easier to just take one $1 Boge standard carto and fill it up with the juice you want to test!

I don't clean between changing flavors. If I really want to taste a flavor individually I will drip straight VG into my dripper. But from what I have read, a carto is as close to dripping for performance as possible. I don't use them because I like to switch it quite often. I don't find it to be a hassle at all. I even drive with my dripper. I can open a bottle one handed pull the drip tip and give a few drops at a stop in less than 5 seconds. That will last me for a bit so I'm good. I haven't had a long road trip so I haven't had to teach my wife to do it yet.

first it sounds like Leo is slipping, the ebarron rocks., but to be fair it is not a power dripper, never designed to make massive room filling clouds just a clean tasting easy vape,the flooding is simply because its a bottom feed and most other drippers are not. its awesome for testing flavors though.

the only thing i can say is a week or so when you toss the carto you will still be able to use the dripper so refills are cheap that way.

if your looking for the RDA experience you see others talk about you need more of a real rebuildable dripper where you build your own coils. wrap a fat wick with some thick wire and youll be busting some clouds.

as for dripping in general being inconvenient? depends on the person. everyone has their own preferred method of vaping and if you think cartos are great i wouldnt try to change that.not everyone feels the same way, or we wouldnt have 500 different devices lol.

im a genesis user and in my experience i have never been able to get anywhere near the flavor from a carto i do from an RBA

Andy, I've had great satisfaction with the Igo-L. Half dozen drops and I'm good for close to a half hour, and I vape heavy. Just started building my own coils, but even before that, the Igo was more than adequate as far as flavor and amount of vapor. Like Sucker_dad said, I don't always "clean" between flavors and never had any cross taste issues. Although I do use mostly tobacco flavors. Anyway, when I switch to something drastically different it's easy and quick to just pull out the old wick, dry burn and put a new one in. And, after a week or so just do a new coil. I think it's great, and actually, for the past 3 or so weeks, I haven't even touched my clearos or tanks. The drip is just SO much better!

Something cheap like an igo-l is great dripper to test rdas out, micro coil with cotton wick is the best for my taste. Easy to clean just pull out the cotton and dry burn the empty coil and toss some new cotton into it. I've had several coils going for months with just replacing the cotton. I can push 10+ drops in mine depending on the rda I'm using.

I still use clearos out of the house for convenience though.

Andy777, you sound like my vaping opposite. You love your Provari with carto tanks. If it works for you, then go for it. Personally, I like RDA's on a mech. Specifically a Magneto. I just got an Igo-w in the vapemail today, and I'm loving the clouds I'm chucking with a .4Ω DC build (2x .8Ω). I tried carto-tanks, and was not impressed.

You: High-end VV, carto-tank
Me: Budget mech, Dripper.

We're so different in our approach, yet we share our love of vaping. This really is great hobby.

Wait, cartos work great and you want something else that goes from great to amazing?

Errr, I don't see it. I can't stand cartos and only drip, and even I'm confused. Great is great, just go with it....

I can see needing a dripping atty if your a DIY mixer and need something to sample the last few dozen experiments you mixed a few minutes ago, but other than that, go with the greatness.

Trust me, us drippers are just weird. You don't want to be like us anyway.
