Hiya :) can someone please help? (new to forum, this is my first post, hope its in the right bit).

I was out shopping with my OH at the weekend and we stopped by a couple of E-cig stalls, we had a quick look at the products and picked up a few flyers. Then off to Google I go....Argh!

After lurking around this forum for 2 days I'm even more confused :-(

I'm mum to 2 and 4 yr old cheeky monkeys so I can't afford to go out and buy the wrong thing or buy different products to try out....little help/advice need. I'm in the UK if you can recommend any web sites etc.

So after some research I decided on a Joyetech eGo c 900mAh twist, am I right in thinking this is just a battery/can be bought with a kit and has a common 510 thread? that can be used with cartomizers or clearomizers and tanks are the same but hold more liquid???

Next decision made I thought I would try clearomizers with a bottom coil (recommendations)??? so it won't burn/taste burnt if I forget to give it a shake now and then. How do you refill these? I don't like the idea of refilling cartomizers with a syringe (not an image I want the kids to have). Do I need 2/3 if they are tank and 4/5 if they are the smaller ones so I can refill them on a night and be all set for the follow day or do you have to fill them as you need them? What do I need to buy?

If I got 2x 900mAh batteries (so they last well but not too big in size) and a 650mAh battery (smaller/more discrete when needed) and also a wall socket charger because my laptop rarely sees the light of day, does that sound about right or would I just need one of each?

Next some yummy flavors to try, can you buy any brand of these and find them on the high street? I think I would need to try 12mg and 18mg.

Do you buy the mouth piece separate too, are they disposable or do you just get one with a kit/are they attached to something?

I thought I had all that straightened out in my head so I went off to brows joyetech and I could only find a 1000mAh c twist battery, no kit :-( So I went to totally wicked and they had a tornado eGo c mega twist (is this the same thing) When I looked at the kit it included 1 atomizer body, 2 atomizer head unit, 3 empty refillable tank cartridges, i have no idea what these bits are? No idea what sort/size of cartridge they are? then i looked on a few other random sites, all the kits were slightly different, maybe I clicked on the wrong thing but some kits had some sort of cone with it (by now I'm ...).

I didn't intend for this post to be so long, sorry :) If you have managed to read all the way down here, well done, you deserve a medal :) :)

So, am i over complicating things, should I just buy a kit (recommend please) or if I'm going to need to buy extra batteries, cartridges etc should I just buy everything separate, Can anyone reply with a complete list (examples) of bits I would need to order. The ones we saw in town were socialites (are they any good, think it was 2 e cigs and a charger for £50ish with a bottle of liquid) The other 2 (dodgy geezer types were selling 2 e cigs + charger for £15 so probably set themselves on fire)!

Thank you in advance for any help/advice you can give.

The best kit for your needs--two variable voltage batteries--and it's fully customizable:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

I recommend getting one eGo-C Twist, one Vision Spinner (so you can compare the two), one Kanger T3 and one eVod--and don't forget extra coils, they are sold separately.

Good luck and welcome!

Oh, sorry, I just noticed you're on the other side of the pond...

Yes, Tornado is just rebranded eGo. A bit pricey, if you ask me. Same thing--just comes with a little devil on the side. ;)

Anyway. I still recommend both the batteries and the heads that are included in the above kit!

Welcome to ECF actually my friends here will send you to UK forum all right. This way you should be finding out what is available with your surroundings. Still you are here and you can get all ideas here too.

First of all safety first. I know how curious and how vulnerable kids are. so be sure to have your kit locked (battery I mean which is locked 3 or five pushes)
and for liquids a bottle of 24mg/ml liquid can be fatal so keep them out of reach of children (I dont know how) so be extremely carefull there too.

For a vaper you need 2-3 batteries one charging one using one spare 2-3 clearomisers and some heads. After buying them go to you tube to learn how are they cleaned and dryburned. ask here any question arising when you use them.
All your problem now is to choose appropriate liquid and this will be solved in time.
Happy vapings

If you are just starting I recommend a brick and mortar store. Will you pay a little more? Yes; but the they should walk you through all the functions of the device and show you how to fill the device let try samples of flavors and should let you sample the device you are interested in. If you have any problems or questions you go back and ask. Best of luck.

Heya, welcome to ECF :) You can find more about UK vape suppliers at the UK forum section. You are certainly correct here. Any 510 or eGo threading will fit on the Joyetech eGo C. If that sounds confusing, just take a look at this picture of an eGo connection.

Next decision made I thought I would try clearomizers with a bottom coil (recommendations)??? so it won't burn/taste burnt if I forget to give it a shake now and then. How do you refill these? I highly recommend the Protank 2. It's durable, made from glass so you needn't worry about strong juice flavors such as cinnamon or citrus (among many others). The flavor is outstanding. The vapor production is more than adequate. For a slightly more expensive investment of around $18.00 + S&H, you get a superb glass tank with replaceable coil heads. For an eGo 900mah I would recommend getting the 1.8 Ohm replacement heads. Check out this video to see it in action as well as how to refill it and take it apart for cleaning.

I would suggest you get one Protank 2 for each flavor you plan on rotating in your daily use. Personally I switch between 2 or 3 of my most favorite flavors. 2 of them are in the Protank (1 & 2) and the other I use my RDA. Make sure you purchase the Protank 2, not the original Protank. The first one was a leaky mess. The second one is vastly superior.

Do you buy the mouth piece separate too, are they disposable or do you just get one with a kit/are they attached to something?

The Protank 2 comes with its own drip tip (mouth piece), however you can use whatever one you want should you happen to own any others.

If I got 2x 900mAh batteries (so they last well but not too big in size) and a 650mAh battery (smaller/more discrete when needed) and also a wall socket charger because my laptop rarely sees the light of day, does that sound about right or would I just need one of each?

Sounds like a good way to go, you can probably get by with just two 900mah eGos, but I guarantee there will be a time where you accidentally forget to charge one or the other and the 650mah will come in handy. eGos are incredibly reliable, stealthy, and essential staples in most vapers routines. You won't be disappointed.

No, the eGo mega is not the same thing. eGo twist have variable voltage control "wheel" at the bottom. You spin it up to crank the voltage, and turn it down to lower. The eGo mega is a larger capacity mAh battery, and it has a digital LCD display, as well as buttons for both up and down. It's slightly more modern, but unnecessary in the realm of eGos. If you would bother to buy something like the eGo Mega, I'd suggest the iTaste VV over it.

I'm sorry as far as the kit, I cannot possibly know what it might contain without looking at it first. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be offering cartridges with their kit though. That's more for the cig-a-like kits.

So, am i over complicating things, should I just buy a kit (recommend please) or if I'm going to need to buy extra batteries, cartridges etc should I just buy everything separate, Can anyone reply with a complete list (examples) of bits I would need to order. Yes and no. It's relatively simple to get things straight. It can also be unnecessarily complex, especially when you're just starting. However, you simply can't go wrong with eGos + Protank 2. Maybe grab some cartomizers or other device as well, just to try them and have the option of trying flavors. Once you fill a Protank, it's a bit of effort to clean it out and get it sterilized and set for switching to another flavor. Something to keep in mind.

I'll try updating my post with links to examples in a bit :)

They actually sell a kit on there with 2 batteries and tanks.
You would have to find a wall plug for european outlets though. It is just a standard usb plug
All you need is juice.
There are plenty around Mt.BakerVapor AliceinVapeland spring to mind.

I suggest starting out small and easing your way into it

hi,

instead of buying a complete ego-starter kit, i'd go with single components...
to get the best possible components for the price.

you need 2 batteries...

i'd go with vision spinners VV SPINNER ECIG BATTERI 1300 MAH VISION
ego-c twists JOYETECH EGO-C TWIST 900 MAH ECIG BATTERI STÅL
or innokin vv 3.0s ITASTE VV MAGNET ECIG BATTERI SORT

2 bottom-coil cartomizers

i really like the evod/protank II/davide, which all use the same, cheap and good atomizer heads.
EVOD CLEAROMIZER STÅL
However... recently i have heard great things about the aspire line of clearomizers... check out the pbusardo review on youtube
ASPIRE BDC CE5 - KLAR

- a couple of exchangable atomizer heads for your system of choice.

- a charger

and you are set :)

Hi, I started about a month ago, but can't help with any links (as I'm no in the UK anyway, and links are not quite right here?).
I started of with a couple of EGO twist batteries, a 1000mAh and a 650mAh. The variable voltage twist are longer than normal ego batteries to fit the twist variable voltage parts in. So the 650mAh was for more discreet and pocket storage, the 1000mAh was needed for all day and night usage though (the 650mAh wouldn't last all day/night)
The have ego threads and 510 threads, nearly every clearomizer with fit one or the other thread.

no syringes needed for refilling for full size clearos. The bottom coil ones you just unscrew the bottom of the clearo to fill, the top coil ones just unscrew the top. There is a clearo called 'nano' sized that needs a syringe, but they at the tiny thin clearomizers.

Some bottom coil clearos work better than others. Some gurgle and spit, so you get ejuice in your mouth and I'm not just talking certain makes/models, I mean even good ones - buy a few all together and then if you get a dud it may need better or more wick. these are mass produced and some just aren't quite right, buy a few (and spare coil heads to swap) before writing off a make/model.
Anyway, that's a possible problem with bottom coils (I used plenty of EVODs BTW, I have about 6, and some are like that sometimes but some are awesome all the time)
Anyway, for that reason I have a few top coils, and no, you don't have to tip them or anything to get them to work, they work automatically until running low in very low juice (BTW running low on juice is when the bottom coil clearos seem to gurgle and spit the most too). I like iclear and kangertech T2 top clearos on ego style batteries, though your standard CE4 stardust is OK as long as it's the coil replaceable type - some aren't and they are fully disposable when the coil fails)

ah, what else? All clearomizers come with a drip tip, either fixed or replaceable if you want to swap them later.

edit: Sorry if I repeated anything or contradicted anything. There was only 4 replies when I started writing this! :D

I don't know abou kits, but you can use the kit I linked as your guide. I like this site--and they do have a Vision Spinner, which happens to be my favorite vv battery. And they also have eGo-C Twists:

Vision Spinner 1300 [VE503] - £23.99 : Vape Escape

You're going to need a Joyetech fast charger, also. And any Kanger BCC head: T3S, eVod, mini Ts or mini ProTank 2. The ProTank is more expensive because it's glass. I wouldn't start with a mini ProTank--first make sure you like the Kanger BCC design. They are all very similar and the plastic ones are much cheaper. If you like them, you can always add the more expensive mini ProTank to your arsenal.

What you would need:

eGo/eGo Twist/any 510 connection battery
Correct charger for your battery
Kanger Protank II
Some spare replacement coil heads/
Juice of your choice

It's honestly a very hassle free setup. You unscrew the base, fill up with your juice, screw the base back on, plug it on your battery. Vape. I take my eGo/PT2 with me to work all the time and it never fails to deliver. I'd be lying if I said there weren't a few things that might need to be tweaked to get premium vape experience, i.e. "sweet spot." You might have to adjust your voltage depending what ohm heads you are using, as well as certain juice flavors which taste better at a higher or lower voltage. Occasionally you might run into some minor leaking, but overall it's as simple as that. My Protank 2 has ... never? Yea. Never leaked. The Protank 1 I own leaks constantly however. So there is definitely a difference.

Vape well, vape often!

The Ego-c is a great entry point and I still use mine from time to time. It is ego cone threaded and 510. Pretty much anything that is 510 will work on it. It does take time to find what works for you but I would recommend the Kanger T2 for top coil, or the Kanger T3S or Protank V2 for bottom coil(The Protank costs more and is glass, the Kanger is cheaper and plastic).

Unfortunately there are so many variables and many people like different things. I will definitely recommend purchasing from an online vendor because you can save a lot of money. When I purchased my first Ego-C kit it came with 2 batteries, 2 Kanger T2's, 5 replacement heads, wall charger, car charger, a case, and a 15ml bottle of juice and I got it for $60 (which would be £37.53) so where you went they were marking up the price a lot.

I agree with the recommendation for the protank 2. (You would want the mini version for an ego style battery). I've tried quite few different cartos/clearos, and the protanks/evods are my favorites. The evods work as well as the protanks, and cost less, but if you're going to use cinnamon or something like that then evods are no good.

If you have a choice between a spinner and a twist, I'd recommend the spinner. The markings for voltage adjustment on the twist are very difficult to read when it's brand new, and they wear off quickly from there. I can't even read mine anymore. The markings on my spinners are still as clear as when I first bought them.
