As has been stated, if you're thinking about it, you probably are ready.
Just be careful and go slow. I think even with a billionaire's bank account, one should go at a steady but controlled pace, where expenditures never exceed the rate at which you learn about this vaping thing.
I'm 6 months and a little over $2200 into this vaping thing, but I'm coming from having a humidor stocked with cigars and jars and jars of pipe tobacco for my briars - all of which I inhaled. So shortly after getting an eGo-C kit, I started watching videos and reading these forums. I started to see, hear, and read about throat hit (something I could count on my cigars for), and vapour clouds (provided by my pipes when I packed the bowl perfectly), and I knew then there was more that I wanted out of this that I wasn't getting.
Still, I think I exercised some control in only getting one new device with atomizer/cartomizer types to try along with it every month or so. That way I could really get a feel for what I did or didn't like about my most recent purchases before making my next decision and investment.
Whatever you decide, never let your attention divert from what you're trying to find that you aren't already getting. If you're fulfilled as it is, then lucky you! Sit back and enjoy. If not, just do all you can to find out what device(s) are known to satiate your need for what you're missing the most, while gathering every informed opinion you can find before spending the cash.
