Thanks MUCH to EVERYONE! Here's a few specific responses:

>What voltage/wattage are you running your stuff at?
Dusty- i usually run my Vamos at 6-8 watts. I'm a retired electrical engineer who will never go near the sub-ohm stuff.

>I never worried about how much smoke I blew out,if your vape satisfies you with your eyes closed you are fine.
gully- weird thing about eyes closed- back when i was young enough to ride motorcycles, i'd smoke on the bike but was never sure i was still lit because of no cloud. could be part of the problem-lol

>Clouds only really like to perform when they're on camera.
Leo- even pbusardo??? :)

>Couldnt read your post threw my giant clouds
Vash- you bastid!!! :)

(Seriously, I'll try that)

>And I said clearomizer to avoid using the word tip because it sounded bad if taken out of context
shannann- given my feelings of inadequacy, i truly appreciate that :)

>Try a carto tank. You might be pleasantly surprised.
zapped- i think i have some carto tanks on order. at any rate, it's next on my list of things to try.

Again, thanks to EVERYONE.

I think I may be able to avoid the psychologist for at least a few days :)

In the videos, most of those guys are not truly inhaling. Just mock inhaling and shooting vape outta their nose. There are so many variables like voltage/wastage, resistance, tank and juice. That being said, I started out with an ego that produced massive vape. I've progressed thru an e-Vic, a Sigelei telescope and now have a Provari. Ironically, the ego and the Provari produce equal amounts of vape cloud. Both massive. I think it just happens when you fine tune all of the variables.

Dont worry about it,I went down the same path.

I never worried about how much smoke I blew out,if your vape satisfies you with your eyes closed you are fine.

Exactly, I just want that same satisfaction I got from smoking. That's the part I always enjoyed, the feeling going down my throat into the lungs. The rest of it was just the necessary evil to get that sensation. I've found that and have no desire to vape @ 400 watts :vapor:

Just as a test, take it up to 10. Take your regular vape (ignore any burning flavour), and see if it gives you a different result. Now, imagine running that at twice or even three times that "power". Just imagine, don't do..

Clouds and how large is all dependant on resistance, wattage etc. I have been vaping on a Saber touch kicked with LR boges in a carto for almost a year. Great taste , pretty good sized clouds too.

Gave the setup to my brother-in-law and when he started to take a hit I was shocked. Same set up, same 50/50 juice, etc. He looked like a dragon. He started puffing and puffing and it was coming out his nose and mouth etc. I could not see his face.

I never got that much vapour , ever. So guess what Im trying to say, is technique and how deep you inhale will affect the clouds. If I were to inhale that deeply and often like that, Id be choking and gagging.

DOnt let cloud envy stress you out. I know super low res set ups are popular but its not for everyone. I myself cant handle it, it makes me nic sic, and gag and makes my juice change to the point I dont like them.

just something to consider - most of the vapers in the videos who blow clouds typically take bigger hits than normal specifically for the effect (ie, a couple of primer puffs and a long, slow, constant draw). looks good on camera, but not quite as satisfying if you just want a vape.

obviously, higher power and juice and delivery selection go into it as well.

LOL, its all smoke and mirrors :) and lighting. If you actually look at their faces some almost look like they are in pain.

yeah, its mostly on the setups and draw technique. Most of those guys are using rba's with dual and quad coils. Some are even going to octa coils. more coils means more juice being vaped and also warmer too. Telling you from experience anything pass dual coils is not fun to inhale. Also its very dangerous going pass dual coils cause your putting a very heavy load on your battery. Suggestion is stick with your protank. learn how to build and build a 1.0-1.2 ohm for that protank. you'll get a very pleasing amount of cloud with it and its still safe. plus you'll need a airy hit too. more air = bigger clouds. One more thing, learn how to lung it.

Vg will give you lots of vapor but its not a must I vape 70/30. Its what you are using. Nice equipment gives you nice vapor, also theres knowing how to set it up. Rebuilding your own coil helps in clearos and protanks and such. Here is a standard resistance 510 atty with 60pg and 40 VG juice. Im using a GG and have a fresh battery I did take a very long drag but you dont have to have expensive or exotic to get clouds IMG_1051.jpg
You can get the same thing with any mod and a properly working atty.

And I said clearomizer to avoid using the word tip because it sounded bad if taken out of context, but tank, etc, works too.

True that. There are two main kinds of tanks - clearomizer tanks and cartomizer tanks. There are other kinds too. I use metal vivi nova tanks a lot myself.

I've watched dozens of vaping videos and I always see these huge clouds of vapor. I never get anywhere near that. I watched a pbusardo video where he sorta ranted on massive clouds, and even in that one, compared to my experience, he seemed to be fogging up the room.

Right now I'm vaping with 50/50 PG/VG in a metal vivi tank and getting tons of vapor. I get a lot with PG/VG 70/30 too. I think with 100% VG the vivi tanks may not wick so well - but at 50/50 the vapor is plentiful. Take long slow draws also.:D

I'm going to disagree with most responses here. the biggest factor in vapor production is airflow. more airflow will equal bigger clouds. I can produce huge clouds with 2 ohm coils with proper airflow. I've spent countless hours figuring this out. more air across the coils will equal bigger clouds.

Airflow is a factor, but I wouldn't say its the biggest - not in my experience.
With the same airflow but going from 30% VG to 50% VG I see a huge increase in vapor.
Not that I was trying to do that anyway - but I sure notice it.
Most of the vapor comes from VG.
