Am I the only one getting burned out? Why can't this be easier for me?!?

That seems so unpleasant lol. Sounds like there are more people vaping flavorless then I would have thought. One of my favorite parts of vaping is all the flavors. I have several ADVs lol.

Not like you would think.. I mean I smoked the same cig for years.. There's not really much of a flavor to cigarettes, mostly just smoke, unless your smoking cigars. The flavoring is what burns out you tastebuds. Unflavored is similar to smoking in that you don't get burned out on it. I have flavors I like as my adv's but its good to just go unflavored once a week or so. To kinda cleanse your palate and extend your wick and coil.

Sorry to hear this. I've been having issues too having quit just 9 weeks ago. My issue is with the juices. Every time I find a great all day juice I enjoy it for about a day or two but then it becomes sickly and makes me feel sick in the process. Getting costly given the amount of many flavors I keep buying to try and find the perfect one. I think I may be vaping too much which may be the issue.

It also might be that the nic level is too high for you... I tried 18mg, got the same reaction you describe, same again with 12mg. Finally was able to vape constantly when I went to 6mg; actually I need a bit more, about 8 or 9 mg, but you have to get to a point where you can actually STAND it, to be able to stick with it and figure out what nic level is really best for you.

It seems that every now and then I come across a person that can vape the same juice every day and not get sick of it.
I don't understand those people, and most certainly never will.
:)

I'll get sick of ANY juice if I keep vaping it without switching things up.

There are a lot of foods I love to eat.
I can't think of any of them that I can eat every day without getting sick of them.

Well, maybe pepperoni pizza.

Vaping the same flavor all the time just isn't natural as far as I'm concerned.
Unless of course that flavor is just really benign.
:)

I vape my "Virginia" all day, every day, and I love it, and can't seem to find ANY other juice that truly satisfies me. It's a very light taste, yeah it's tobacco but very mild and smooth, with faint notes of apples and cinnamon. The only exception is what I vape when I first get out of bed, because I cannot take any throat hit at all then, whereas normally I'm trying to get as much TH as possible. So in the morning I vape something which is PRIMARILY apples and cinnamon with a hint of clove, and a hint of that Virginia, and I turn the voltage down to its lowest setting. Once it begins to frustrate me with its total lack of TH, I switch back to the Virginia for the rest of the day.

I'm sorry I haven't been here to respond lately, I got a nasty virus over the weekend and have been in bed with a swollen throat, 102* fever and no voice! I'm finally feeling about 80% better so I am back. I'm glad you all have kept the thread going :)

Glad you're feeling better!

Now that I've had nearly a WEEK break from vaping much (stupid laryngitis and whatever other icky virus!!!) I am SO glad to be able to do it again and actually 1) be able to taste what I'm vaping and 2) not kill my throat doing it! When I started this thread I was having a hard time, I was having a few of those 'NOTHING is going right' days. Things are so much better now and I'm enjoying it again, but now I've got another 'issue' if that's what you want to call it, it's more of a concern or questions.

I've noticed lately, although it's something I've noticed for a while, but was content with, that I'm not really getting the vapor production that I'd really like. Now that's not really a BIG deal, but it's something. I keep turning up the wattage on my devices and I'll be satisfied for a day or so and then it's the same thing. I'm at 9 watts across all my devices now, used to be 8 and 9 only with tobacco flavor (my RY4 that I still absolutely love lol), on 2 ohm single coil cartos. Is that normal or too high? I know my other juices used to taste burnt that high... weird! Another thing is just being satisfied in general. I know my taste buds are probably still changing, but why do my flavors seem more bland now? Is that normal? I figured my taste would make the flavor increase, but it's the opposite.

One last thing, just a little vent lol. Today I realized that it's been about a month and a half since I've had a 'real' cig! That's great, right? Is it weird that it really makes me mad that NO ONE I know (like REALLY KNOW, the people I live with, family and friends) has said 'I am so proud of you'... It's a BIG DEAL, but it feels like no one notices what I've accomplished! Anyway, sorry, that was my 'pity me' moment lol.

Thank you! You're officially the first person to say it.

I do have a wintergreen flavor I could try. I switch all day between 4 setups, butterscotch, gooey goodness cake, ry4 and coconut lol. I can't narrow it down to just one flavor, I get bored too easily! But maybe trying the wintergreen will help.

I'm smoke-free. I have been on the same old cartomizers and RN-4081 batteries since I started vaping. I started vaping to quit smoking. It has done the trick ... I am smoke-free. I don't care if it becomes a pain or if some days it's not as enjoyable as others ... I'm smoke-free. I could turn this into a hobby and start buying all those shiny new things, but I don't have to ... I'm smoke-free. Whatever I'm doing is working, so why mess with it? I'm smoke-free, and that was the whole purpose behind vaping.

Lol I do love Sierra Mist! I actually think I've figured the taste part out as well. I think it was the cartos I was using, I was having to clean and reuse cartos bc I didn't have the money to buy more at the time. As much as everyone keeps saying fresh cartos taste better, I figured as long as they were being cleaned well they'd be just as good. I got new cartos as soon as I got the money and man, it made a HUGE difference!

Lol ! That's why I said best wAy to clean them is replace them. Glad your finally getting a good vape. :)
Now throw that carto washer in the garbage... ;)

lmao, yea, but I'm stubborn and I'm 'always right' lol. I haven't even been using the carto cleaner thing! I hate it now, it's messy and a pain, I was letting them soak in hot/warm water and then in Everclear. They were clean, they were bright white, like new, but for whatever reason the taste just wasn't there and I just assumed it was my taste buds changing still or b/c I was really sick all last week... Basically blaming EVERYTHING except the cartos! lol... yea, I'm smart!

Replacing them also took care of the flooding issue! I was SHOCKED at how easy it was to fill, it took less time, way less messy lol. Go figure, reusing cartos SUCK! I bought 3 packs of cartos, I figured 4 packs a month would be about right (since I have at least 3 tanks going every day and then my husband is now getting into cartos). That's about $30 a month, cigs were about $40 a WEEK! Score! lol

The reason is the coil gets gunked and its impossible to safely clean it, you were only cleaning the filler. The coil is what vaporizes the juice..

yea, I did figure that out, like a few days ago lol. I still feel like I'm so unaware, I still have SO much to learn when it comes to this vaping stuff. It seems everytime I feel like I'm getting it all down, something comes up and knocks me back down a step lol.

But soon you will be an expert... a vaping guru...
And you'll be able to help others the same way you have been helped.

We are all vapers, no matter what equipment we use or what liquids we favor.
And that is why we're all here, learning and doing what we can to help.
