They have their limitations tho, but it's a nice match with the smok 1.7 ohm carto. Voltage drop off is a problem if you try to use 4+ volts with 3 ohm stuff.

I use mine with a 1.7 ohm atomizer at 3.7v, and the voltage drop off is minimal.
Note, you don't need a shorty extension to use a drip shield.

Well isn't that a peach? 2 batteries, charger, case, clearos.. that is a pretty good buy.

Those are a little bigger than the ego types, but it is nice to simply carry extra replaceable batteries. And, the pulse circuitry is nice. It does seem to make a difference in the feel/experience of the vape which could be interpreted as enhancing the flavor experience, I suppose. I recently bought a varitube-3 which also uses pulse width modulation. I would never have believed there could be a difference from the Twist, but there is. Not so much flavor, but the vape experience is more powerful. I kept moving my same carto from the twist to the varitube. It was quite different.

Make sure you get an extra set of batteries to have charged and carry along in a battery case. Vendors ALWAYS overstate battery life.

I'm confused by this. So the PWM heats the coil differently in a way that provides a different vape? I'm not doubting your experience, but not understanding how this would affect things. Does it cause modulation in the temp the coil reaches? Does it provide more heat and if that's the case wouldn't the same effect be caused by raising the voltage on a Twist?
