As others said, your body will let you know if you're taking in too much nicotine. I personally chain vape when I'm home, so I use a lower nic level than I do when I'm at work. I don't try to limit myself because right now what's important is to keep away from cigarettes. I do think it's going to level itself out with time.

Nicotine is not the only thing that's addictive in cigarettes. There's a huge mental addiction - that's why ecigs work so well. It takes time to get away from that too. So I'm going "one thing at a time" and letting time do its thing.

Adjust the level of nicotine in your juices so you can find the sweet spot that will allow you to vape as much or as little as you want, while still getting enough nic to keep the cravings at bay. Less nicotine and you'll vape more. More nicotine and you'll vape less.

I quit smoking reg cigarettes 3 weeks ago yesterday. I started at 24mg and after 1 week dropped to 18. Then after another week went to 6mg. I found I was vaping way to much and getting a sore throat and dry mouth and going thru a whole tank and more. I upped it back to 18mg and am fine with that. I just don't want to be vaping for 30 years like I smoked so I tried to cut it down way to fast.
Now at 18 a tank last all day, sometimes a little more.

If it's keeping you off cigarettes, I wouldn't worry about it too much right now. A month in, you're still transitioning over, so heavy use would be expected.

Even at a year and a half, I plow through 10 ml of 4 mg/ml liquid per day. It's far healthier than smoking, so even I don't worry about it more than a little.

I go through about 3-4 mls of 12mg - 18mg a day. Don't sweat it. But here's an interesting excerpt from an article by Tony Warren about Nicotine Addiction and the FDA Conventional (Non-Effective) methods.

"And the startling truth is that in one day a nicotine patch delivers an amount of nicotine to the bloodstream equivalent to smoking six packs of cigarettes in one day"
