So my order finally got here. Comparing them to an authentic subzeroX they definitely look 1:1 they even have the clutch system. The differences I see so far is the switch on the authentic is way smoother and the brass version on the authentic has a copper thread piece on the authentic and the inside sleeve seems permanent on the clones and the brass version I have the switch doesn't seem to lock although the copper one definitely does lock. The switch seems scrunchy? It actually has a rubbing noise(might go away after some use?)
All in all though should be fine for what I wanted them for anyway. Bought them to use at work and other stuff so I don't damage my authentic. Also the parts are interchangeable with the authentic one.

A little polish and or lube smooths the switch as does use, one of mine had a little burring on the slots in the switch which caused a little crunchy feel. The one you have that does not lock properly is due to Kindbright making the spring too long on the latest batch, it also makes the switch a little rougher in use. Easy fix is to compress the spring slightly by bending the angles slightly. The copper ones spring is correct, and I believe they made much more copper which are still shipping from the first run.

as for the inner sleeve, I presume you mean the Pom (plastic) one. It comes out, just a bit of a tight fit.

I'll also mention both the brass and stainless versions shipped with copper and stainless switch housings. Not sure why, and which one they'll settle on. But have received brass with copper houseing, and brass with brass housing, same with the stainless version. Personally I prefer brass/brass, stainless/stainless over the copper, nothing notable in performance differences.

Thanks! All in all still satisfied with them. I figured at least I would have parts for my authentic, but am pleasantly surprised by the quality of these. Gonna compress the spring a little. I figured that with use the switch would smooth out. I may try and polish the inside of the tube.

Technically no, the authentic copper uses V2 switch, but both the copper and brass Kindbright XXX are identical. Have both, and like them.

I have Copper, Brass, and Titanium Admirals inbound, they cleared customs in Ohio a bit ago, and might be here this week.
Yeah that's the reason I didn't want the copper version. The brass looks spot on. I asked them if they're gonna do the copper version with new switch they said they only have the ones they have now as if they didn't know the copper had the new comp-S switch...hoping they're gonna try and fix the mix up.
Did you vape with the brass or copper rda caps straight away or is there a clear coat on the inside?
I compressed the spring on the brass one a little and locks good now. Gonna clean up the switch to get rid of the crunchiness later

So this is what I find with clones from kindbright love them thy are vary good but thy need a bit of finish work I don't even really use them till I have time to brack them all down and go throw them buff up and noalox them up

Yea, no kidding, 2 days from China to my door, well add a few hours of the third day. If it weren't for customs could knock most of a day off the total. Looks like the package will be here in the morning

Makes it worth the shipping charge that's for sure.

No clear coat internally on anything I've gotten so far, exterior yes, inside no. Haven't used the brass rda yet, copper and stainless I use regularly.

If someone sent them an 11:11, or V2 switch they'd probably update it, otherwise I expect it will ride out with what it is now.

Great thread idea....
Can anyone suggest I good mech that would work well with a "tall boy" KF5?
Stainless steel / non-hybrid / 22mm
Maybe 18350 or a "side by side" 18650 set up? (23mm needed for the side mod)
Saw the "Tree of life" on Fastech was thinking about that kind of style... but a side by side would be great.
Needs a lock ring as well..
Thanks for any input :)

Not really liking the xxx...its a solid mod nothing wrong with it hits good and all, just don't really like the form factor. Maybe I'll get used to it though. For now glad I got the clone instead of the real deal.

Yeah it's a solid mod. Just where the curve is, not usually how I hold my mods. Usually hold them higher up like where the xxx is. Not downing it in anyway though. Like I said it's a solid mod for sure absolutely nothing wrong with it. I'll probably get used to it though. Might have to look for a spring maybe
