Hey everyone I've been silent for a little bit but school and work have me quite busy atm...
I'm one day shy of two weeks but when pulsing my coils today I had rusted looking spots on my coils and I couldn't be bothered with making new coils just for one days use.

So first the Incubus clone. I got it from 2fdeal and it's claimed to be a 1:1 clone for thirty dollars. The only difference I've noticed different is just that there's no serial number on the magazine. Now the sole purpose I bought this mod is because I'm a huge handgun collector and the gimmick of the magazine feature on the mod and loading it like a gun was a fun gimmicky idea for me....
Now this mod looks super sexy and is very well built but o......m.....g the amount of parts this mod has is insane. I broke it down when I first got it and about halfway through had to search for a tutorial to finish the breakdown. I'm not as experienced as others so I'm sure it takes people far less time but for me the breakdown and reassembly took about 45 minutes and one part was a real pita to get back in right... Another con for me is how loose the 510 is. It's an adjustable 510 but has almost no tension so I constantly found myself readjusting the 510 every time I took the rda off. I searched online and this is a problem the authentic has as well.
The good though is that it's really sturdy feeling, sexy looking, hits real well, is parallel so if using LG HG2s and not using a ridiculous build expect a full day or more of use with one set. Another plus is that it cost 10% the cost of the authentic.
While I like the mod I can say it won't be in constant rotation in my collection due to the amount of parts and the always self adjusting 510. If what I've stated won't bug you than by all means get it, it's a fun mod.

Now the Kennedy Rda clone. SXK V5 clone from 3fvape. Cost 18 dollars.

Now I think it's a great rda. It chucks clouds while still giving great flavour which I seem to notice from bottom airflow rdas. It also comes with a bottom feeding pin and extra screws. The black finish I have on mine seems really high quality and I've experienced no chipping in the two weeks of constant use I've put it through.
The bad i can think of is;
Top airflow? Just why? I have never used it past the first day and always have had it closed off since. With the top airflow open I notice a loss of flavour, no change in cloud production, and it just feels like way to much airflow with no resistance and no heat.... Also this rda perfers larger width builds. Smaller builds will have trouble aligning the build to the airflow and putting the leads through the posts.
It may sound like im slamming this rda but I really like it. I feel like this Rda is going to see its fair share of use in the future.

Sorry I'm not providing broken down pics but I'm going to pull the "busy card" as an excuse

If getting the subzeroX clones you definitely need to check the springs. Mines weren't firing every time and you can feel crunchiness in the switch when pressed the springs were the reason. It was being compressed too much. Had to bend it to make it a little shorter and the crunchiness went away and it fires every time.

Just curious as I haven't got mine yet. Do you own a Legendary Subzero as well as the Subzero Shorty? My Shorties have the best response from button presses but the Legendary sometimes doesn't fire everytime I press it. The Shorty has less pieces to the trigger though and that plastic button which bugged me on a 150 dollar mod at first but performance can't be argued on. I always assumed with the Legendary it was due to the metal button not making full contact with the internals and I actually use two fingers to fire the l
Legendary. If the same spring fix works for the Legendary as it has your X it may get my Legendary back into rotation because the Legendaries button resembles the X more then it does the Shorty.

BUYER BEWARE: Efun will claim a mod is a 1:1 clone regardless of build quality. Got the Underground kit as well as the Subzero X and they are far from 1:1 even though the product description claims them to be. They're so far from 1:1 clone that someone who owned an authentic would be able to tell you have a clone before you even took it out your pocket (Yeah, these mods suck) .... Got 35 dollars worth of nice looking paperweights today. Maybe I'll take the 510 cap off them and use them as pencil holders at work

Yes I have 2 subzeros. And the shorty and legendary switch. Both switches function the same but the shorty is more responsive due to your being able to tilt the plastic plate on the bottom where as the legendary is a solid metal piece and needs to go straight up. And I believe it should hit harder due to all the pieces in the clutch system making contact with the center pin and walls where as the shorty could have only a few pieces touching? Did your switches come with a spring for both of them? Meaning you have 2 springs? By the way if you have two springs they should be the same height.

I just did an experiment and placed the shorty spring in the subzeroX switch housing and it works! Just as the authentic subzeroX does! Feels way smoother and softer but doesn't auto fire when stood on the switch.

I also stopped using the Sebone kit after two days. I know this clone is highly liked but it's not for me.

I got the kit on 2fdeal for 24 dollars.

Good - Visuals. This mod looks like a transformer and I like it. Kept feeling like Optimus Prime was gonna ask me to save the world everytime I took a drag. It's also one of the smallest mods I own. It is super tiny. As far as austhetics go this is my #1 favorite mech. It looks even better in person than in pictures. I also like how you can adjust both the positive and negative end which is great so RDAs will always be flush. Some companies that have hybrid style 510 caps like the Sebone won't have adjusting buttons so you'll be left with a raised RDA based off the battery/length of RDAs 510 (use the Mad Dog as an example of that)... I also like the RDA for the most part. Compact topcap with a goon deck that has had no issues as far as leaking or anything along those lines.

Now the bad. This thing hits "ok".... At one point I took off the RDA and put it on my Kennedy to make sure I wasn't just coming to conclusions. It's a very mediocre hit in my experience. I would get 1/2 to 3/4 the vapor production with the sebone kit as I would by putting the exact RDA onto another mod and using that..
I.... Hate..... The... Trigger... I don't know if I just dislike magnet switches as I've disliked 2/2 of the magnet switches I've tried with the other being the Mad Dog. I was getting a no fire literally half of the time. Half! It got to the point where on day 2 when I finally gave up on the mod I was pressing down the button with great force just anticipating a no fire. It was infuriating. You have to press the button almost exactly on the middle and press firmly.

The only con I can think of for the RDA was no adjusting airflow but I actually really like the airflow and probably wouldn't change it even if I could. I really like the RDA

My legendary didn't come with an extra spring but it was a "blemished" so maybe that's why. I put blemished in quotations as I've yet to find the blem lol. Was your X autofiring? I've missed a page or two in this thread I need to catch up on. I have three on the way so if I have the same problem with the spring I will try your trick and worse case scenario just buy some springs for them

Not auto firing just really crunchy and not firing all the time. I had to press it a few times before it actually fired plus it hits weak. After adjusting the spring all those were fixed. I haven't taken apart my authentic switch though so can't compare the authentic spring to the clone.

Just checked and none of my 3 came with extra springs. Extra screws and o rings to last the apocalypse but no springs :(

Also for your authentic Subohm says taking apart the X button voids the warranty

Yeah that's why I'm not taking it apart yet...but I've watched reviews so I know what's in there lol. But the springs in the clones are beefier than the shorty and the way the shorty spring sits in the cloneup in the top section of the housing looks exactly like the authentic does in the reviews, which leads me to believe that the subzeroX spring must be exactly the same as the shorty/legendary. The clone spring literally just falls out and has a stiffer feel than the authentic. They probably just used cheap materials for it, but you shouldn't need silver springs for this switch as the spring doesn't carry current

Cool thank you I really appreciate the feedback. I went to Subohm to see if they sell extra springs alone which they don't so I sent an inquiry. If prices are good I'll get some but I'll keep you guys posted on their response. When on their site though I saw they're having a blowout sale on the Knurled Shorty.. Must...... Resist.... Purchasing!

Cleaning/servicing the switch voids the warranty?
Not alot of confidence in their own switch.
Thats a deal breaker for alot of people.

Speaking of switches, Im also not impressed with the "clutch" system in the broadside/admiral.
Sketchy knowing this o rings that stretch with every button press hold the switch together.
If one breaks, instant autofire.

I have two of these, for some reason one works better than the other. My second one gets used daily :)
The button is finicky, but once you get use to it, its not bad. That being said, if you have bigger/chubby fingers the button can be a PITA!
Did you get brass or copper?
