Hello, I am no longer new to vaping.. so don't be fooled by my name as I made this account awhile ago.

I just had a quick question, it has been my theory that it is ok to have a battery with far more amps than you will ever need, obviously this is better than having too LITTLE amps and frying your battery.

For example, say I am vaping around 5 - 10 Amps, but my battery is good up to 38 amps, that is what I want correct? A lot of room to avoid any issues.

No such thing as a 38 amp battery. Best ones out there are only 30 amps. Anything higher and the company is lying through their teeth about their battery.

26650 even caps out at 25CDR with a 40 to 60 Pulse. About the only Lithium batteries on the market that "Technically" can be run above 30amp CDR would be a 2S, 3S, or 4S Lipo, and the younger crowd here where I am are all a craze on them with even crazier builds than with 18650's, but in my opinion still way to volatile ever since I seen my first Lipo with RC cars and planes, nope, not getting one near me. My philosophy, can't get a good decent vape at under 30amps, you are not doing it right or the person building for you is not doing it right, all about the physics and how to create the optimal storm, just as mother nature does ;)

Actually, there are batteries more than 38 amps, coz he didn't say what type of battery so you guys just "assume" he meant 18650. What if he meant 26650?

Actually, there arent.
Not 18650 or 26650.

I would take an educated guess and say the OP is using an efest 18650 "38a" cell.

Its actually a 20a cell with 38a on the wrapper.
Know your gear.

Yep, you're right, just saw Mooch's chart and realized my mistake.
