An Astro clone from fasttech and magnets

I have the $21 Astro clone from fasttech, and while it isn't a 1:1 clone, I would love to know if I can buy fatdaddy magnets and install them. It would help the crunchy button a lot. But I don't think it is feasible.

According to their site they fit both no modifications.

Comes with 3 pcs of axially magnetized industrial neodymium magnets. No fancy install trick, just install where the spring was using opposing polarity so that magnet will push each other. No more noisy, scrungy switch!!!

This will fit both the genuine and 1:1 clone versions with no additional modifications needed.

I read their website, but on a FT clone I'm skeptical about spending $8 (which i feel is too much) plus shipping for something that might not even work.
