Those gas station disposables seem to be the first door for many vapers.

A few weeks ago I got a few blu's from Quickcheck, now I have a nice little set up that seems to grow like the blob. (If you're an old timer, you've probably seen the movie)

It gets better and better....tons of info in this site. Still, some human trial and error is to be expected. Depending how far into the rabbit hole you want to go.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on jumping onto the ecig bandwagon. I smoked real cigs for 53 years. One day I was in my favorite tobacco store buying a carton of smokes and saw what I know now to be a really "off the wall" brand ecig. Just for grins I bought the kit. The next morning I threw the new and unopened cig carton in the garbage and have been vaping since. Keep your eye on the prize and you will enjoy a seamless transition.
