Does anyone know of an RTA that doesn't have a glass tank? Long story short, my Legend fell at work, the glass on my rta broke. I don't have time to drip during the day and am still looking into squonking. I'd like to find an RTA built Legend tough.
Hi,
Just to confirm, you broke your GeekVape Aero Mesh Sub-Ohm Tank, correct?
What is your budget for the new tank?

No, I said RTA in my op, not sub ohm tank. I broke the glass on my Juggerknot RTA. I think a durable RTA for work would be a good investment, so budget isn't a big concern. I had the spare glass at home, but the likelihood of this happening again are good, hence the reason I'm looking for something without glass

I'm a DL vaper
Then the relevant Kayfun would be the "5²". The "²" is quite important as there is also a Kayfun "5" but that's a different, slightly older atomizer before they decided to not make a can-do-MTL-and-DL device and instead release 2 different atomizers (the prime and 5²). Both come with a steel tank, the 5² holds 7ml in "steel mode" (there's also a glass tank in the package that holds 6ml).

Hadley, super easy to build, great flavor and pretty deep well. I use them on my REO's

7 ml, wow! That sounds exactly what I need, I'll get through the day at work without worrying about my juice level with the steel tank on. I appreciate the info!

IMO,
If you replaced the glass tank with the ultem tank, one or two $2.00 vape bands is all you need.
The ultem tank should be much more impact resistant than the glass version, especially protected by a vape band. (or two)

cheers

Sorry, I should've mentioned I'm a DL vaper
Metal tank DL vapes are few and far between. I went through a similar search for similar reasons some time ago and wound up going with just vape bands and buying spare replacement glass because I couldn’t find all metal DL RTA that I actually liked. The kayfun 5 as @untar mentioned is one option. It’s only just barely DL though, more of a restricted DL. Also it’s single coil only and the chamber is tiny. Plus it’s really expensive.
The pharaoh25 is another. I’ve got one of those. It’s an rdta rather than a classic rta and I don’t think they are made any more :/. Might be able to get one used though. A lot of people who bought them didn’t like them because the literature basically lied about how they could be used effectively. To actually get a good vape out of one it must be built with a short wide single coil for one thing.
The way I solved this problem was I bought an aromamizer plus. The aromamizer plus DOES have a glass tank. However(and this bit is critical)the glass sits inside a metal lip so the only way the glass will be impacted is if it lands on an actual sharp hard protrusion. I’ve dropped mine numerous time and it seems to be more or less immune to flat floors. It also comes with a vape band which goes around the outside of the glass and helps protect it.

it’s Huge. 30mm, 10ml capacity. I’ve put it on my legend, which isn’t small to begin with, and had people say things like “wow, that’s huge” and “that’s the biggest vape I’ve ever seen”. It’s fantastically flavorful though. As good as an RDA. Also with the massive capacity you generally don’t need to refill that often

So I have been looking into squonking, any recommendations for a fairly forgiving rda? By that I mean deep wells for a newbie learning not to over squonk? :)
I’ve had good luck avoiding oversquonk with a 22mm pulse combined with a silicone bottle. The juice opening is designed to suck the spare juice back into the bottle so you basically can’t oversquonk unless your bottle is empty
