So I've been vaping for about 4 months and have already managed to go from an ego with the stardust to a Provari with assorted carto tanks and could not be happier with the set up. The reason I am writing this is because I know a few people that want to stop smoking and have tried everything that I have used and like the idea but are really set on an e-cig that looks more like a real cigarette. I am pretty confident after reading threads on this site for a ridiculous amount of hours (at least that is what my wife says) that nothing with the analog look will satisfy my vaping wants or needs. With that being said I would still like to get an idea of what direction I could point them in to give them the best chance to stop smoking. I don't think price is an issue, or battery life for that matter. I think finding an analog style e-cig that can be refilled with the juice of your choice is a key and if anything exists that uses a standard carto would be great. Does anybody have any suggestions? I would just love to help my friends be able to enjoy the feeling I have gotten from finally kicking this habit that I have been a slave to since I was 16 years old. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If it must be a cig-a-like then I definitely suggest Smokeless Image Volt. I love my cig-a-likes for when I am out and about. I do suggest upgrading to th 78mm size for longer battery life. The cartos can be refilled with the same juices that the samples come in or you can just buy prefilled cartos. I love them.

Not talked about much here, but a company Smoketip has kits a bit high in price at $59.00 free ship, but the up side is they are a quality KR808d1 battery, and have lifetime free replacement, which I used many times with no questions asked. The cartos are pricey, tastey, and refillable many times. You can get any blank KR808d1 carto for them also. There are other companies that are also very good. The lifetime replacement battery and KR808d1 bats the biggest deal.

The regular "analog" sig cartomizers can be refilled. I have a cig 2o that uses the disposable type of cartomizers. They can be refilled. Look it up on youtube. but just get a Provari and a carto tank and be done with it.

kileak, Did you actually read the post that you quoted? Particularly the sections marked in red? Recommending a Provari for someone who specifically does not want a Provari helps no one.

Goblue, I can also +1 the Volt from smokelessimage. Regulated at 3.6 or 3.7 volts and stays consistent until just before the battery dies. They have really good cartos too, and I generally do not like cartos. I use a vv mod and I am also completely happy to use my SI Volts. I have no personal experience with the smoketip, but the lifetime replacement sounds like a really good deal. I would check into those two and decide between them.

I second this opinion. Like the OP, I started with an ego 1000 mah passthrough and a stardust. Upgraded to a Kgo VV, a Twist, and a Lavatube (still saving up for a Provari and a Vamo).

But I wanted a cig-a-like, and my B&M carried the Volt from Smokeless Image.

Hands down, by far, the easiest and most awesome look-a-like out there. I proudly stand behind this device! So easy to use, refill, etc. Of course like any look-a-like, the battery might last 3 hours of hardcore vaping, but a full day if you only puff when you nic fit.

I bought mine after all my mods and egos and I looooooooove it.

Got mine from Vaporcast. Good guys, there.

OR: Just get a Provari.

SNICKER.

I'm with you, tidegirl.

"Just Get a Provari".

Ok, great! Can you lend me 250 bucks? No? Ok, then don't recommend it. I was asking for a look-a-like, anyway.

I appreciate what the Provari is and can do, but I'm starting to feel those few people who are sick of seeing "Buy a Provari" to every single question asked on this forum.

Do you watch PBusardo reviews? You've seen him pick up his megaphone?

"WE CAN'T AFFORD IT, SO SHUT UP."

I cant say enough bout SI from Customer Service to a quality product, i would highly recommend SI to anyone that is looking for a cig style pv. I love my volts, i will actually be buying more cause they are that good, really want another manual. I have 2 auto and a manual myself plus i have been trying all their flavors via sample and so far i cant complain. RY4, Watermelon and mint are all wins in my book. I am curious if their menthol can win me over, i hate menthol too (so that will be tough).

There are other companies i have heard good things bout, but I went with SI and so for everything has been A+

I guess it's been about 2 months since I started vaping and around 7 weeks since I quit cigarettes completely. I started with a V2 and it was okay. It got me off cigarettes. But I quickly switched to an eRoll because I like option of using my own juice. Since then I have bought a couple of eGo Twists that are great for around the house. But my eRoll is my go-to for when I am out and about. I do love it!

Cig like is all I ever use. I have used the larger 510's and tanks etc. Blah. My educated vote is for Modern Vapor's Sidesho. This will give the best performance. They are 8.4mm in diameter and 100 cig size long. You can customize colors, etc. Don't bother with the kit offers because they come with atty/carts. Build your own and use their blanks or catomiozers. Also add the smart PCC.

Hey thanks for all of the suggestions everyone! You've got me thinking about getting a cig-a-like for my self too! Great suggestions, this forum is truly a great tool. Thanks again!!!

I ended up getting one for use in public at those times that I'm tired of people starting at me and my infinity pro like I'm an alien. :p

DawnBella, I'm surprised you didn't recommend the Nano. Is the Sideshow a 306 or is it a proprietary thread as well?

Now you've got me interested in that as well damn it.

To the OP, Smokeless Image has great customer service and products, not to mention a rather large selection of atomizer options for the beginning vapor. I would definitely start there.

Well here's one from GoodProphets, that I actually have and have had around for almost two years. You can get cartomizers for it, but it does look and feel like an analog cigarette. I use it now for one ejuice I can't get to taste right in any other setup I have.
GP 4081 Carto Kit CLOSEOUT

Battery life about 2 to 3 hours....but charges pretty fast. :)
