Yeah I hope to never become one of those smoker haters cause I feel like I would be a complete hypocrite, and I always hated them as a smoker. Most of my friends smoke, and i can tolerate being around it, but it smells nasty. Now I understand nonsmokers point of view.

I don't think you ever could become that way, based on your post. :)

I used to openly tell non-smokers to never try a cigarette when I smoked, but I obviously never tried to change the mind of people that were also smokers.

Even though I don't smoke anymore, I totally understand why smokers are currently smoking (besides being a super strong habit, hey, it's also an addiction!), and I'm not going to turn into one of the nagging people I hated when I smoked.

Now I'll just vape alongside them and answer any questions if they ask. And maybe brag about how yummy a new flavor I've tried is tasting, and let them try if they ask me about vaping. :D Not because I want or expect them to switch though, just because I love it so much that I want to share the excitement with more people. :)

I definitely agree that trying to force something on a current smoker is not the way to help them at all. We used to hate those comments, and obviously they still do, too! It would be so hypocritical to switch now and start lecturing. I don't think most ex-smokers go that route. :)

Sharing the awesome things about vaping though, without mentioning any need to quit smoking, now that I don't have any problem doing. :D

Replacing cigarettes with vaping only took me 3 days and I never looked back. My girl still smokes so I am around it all day hence why I never notice the bad smell of it. Every once in a while I'll take a drag off hers. Wow wee so nasty tasting and I loved smoking more then sex I think. Well maybe not, but I did love it.
Now that I vape I feel it might be harder to stop then the cigarettes were..............so many fantastic flavors. I hope it's all as healthy as they say..................

They are disgusting to me already and it's only been almost two weeks since I completely quit. I was at a friends house recently with two heavy indoor smokers and had to leave because I could not breathe! I feel bad for their child. I can also smell a smoker from a mile away now, I cannot believe I smelled like that for 16 years. I could never smoke another one.

The worst part of quitting smoking for me is that now I can smell stuff. So, now when my wife comments about our dogs smelling I have to agree and bathe them. So, I guess I'll have to go back to smoking or take up politics (lying).

Lol! Well, you could always blame your prior smoking on your sense of smell "suddenly disappearing again" now. ;) Don't you hate when that happens? Gee, I guess it comes and goes! :D

Had a smoke yesterday. First time I've had a whole one in awhile. Tasted okay. And this from a pack I bought in January. So, yeah, a little on the stale side. But moderate smoking rocks. I maintain high preference for my better tasting vapes, and well, to each his own. Cause everything I'm writing here is likely lost on some who think vape only is the best path. Perhaps I'll one day think that, but today, I still think moderate smoking rocks.

I usually vape only before and after work, in the car commuting and at home, so the hours I spend at work are nicotine free (it was this way for my last 3 years smoking too, fwiw).
Anyways, when I'm at work and see someone out smoking or even see a picture of a cigarette, I instantly feel like smoking one, it looks like the most delicious thing in the world... Hehe
Then I get in the car and start vaping and the idea of a cigarette seems horrible again. That craving is just the nicotine receptors in my brain talking to me...
I guess I won't even smoke the occasional cigarette, except maybe if I get drunk and don't have my e-cig on me.
I hope I'm right...

I was an adamant smoker from age 13-46. Both my parents smoked heavily when I was a kid and I fell into it naturally. I feel like this cheap APV and you fine people have provided me a new lease on life.

Since I switched on 1/31, a great number of improvements have occurred. I won't list them, as most of you are having the same experience.

Beer tastes horrible as does coffee.

No need to get nasty, now.... ;)

What's crazy though is I really loved cigarettes when I smoked. It wasn't solely an addiction but something I enjoyed, but that's no longer the case.

Like, if some crazy theoretical medical technology made cigarettes totally harmless, I'd still prefer to vape.

Well there is a crazy technology that made smoking harmless. Called Vaping.

but at the same time, I feel you. I had 1.5 packs when My setup came in the mail.
I swore then I wouldnt buy another pack. I havent. i slowly went down..

I realized i was over it a couple weeks later, and the guy in front of me smelled so bad. I wondered why, and then saw the pack hanging from his breast pocket, and it clicked. It was the smoke. he smelled like an ashtray. so immediately I rushed home and grabbed the pack with 4 left in it, and started to smoke one. It tasted so bad. I took four hits then broke it and the other 4 I had left and threw them away. Apart from the occasional puff that I have had 2 times, which I also didnt enjoy, Ive been smoke free...
