I found out today that the Vamo extension tube has the same threads as the I-Chybrid so if you wanted you could add one to this then have this run in 18650 mode.

I also found out that the extension tubes for the hcigar Chi You clone also fits the iChybrid so you can use it with 18500's and 18650's.

Thanks for posting, especially the photo I've got below. I needed to know exactly where to put that washer/shim. I'm having a devil of a time finding one at the local hardware stores. They just don't have anything that small and thin. Does the material matter?
Also, my button doesn't have the nifty dragon logo. It's just smooth. No biggie. If I find one for next-to-nothing I'll buy one but it ain't like I'll be starting at the mod's .... that often anyway, heh heh.

I got mine today.

No problem, that is why I tried to capture it in the pic. I used a gearbox shim from an airsoft gun. I have a baggie full of them. Do you have the iChybrid or the hybrid off FT?

I've got the iChybrid from 101vape.
At the moment I'm mustering up the courage to tackle the wick hole with a dremel tool so I can fit a ekowool+ss mesh wick in there.
I want the ekowool to fit through the entirety of that hole so I can avoid shorts. My only other genesis style atty is an RSST and I'm spoilt by the insulated wick hole.

Any chance you've got the measurements I'd need to try to track these lil' SOBs down? I'm trying to think of any airsoft/hobby shop local to me that might carry these parts and I'm comin' up with zip.....

I think the ID is 3mm and the OD doesn't really matter. The thickness varies. I used a pretty thin one. These also worked perfectly on the Sigelei #8 and #13 switch to decrease the throw on it. I have a kit like this and just used a random one. But they are all 3mm ID I am pretty sure. They are shims for AEG's (automatic electric guns). Like the more expensive guns. I still have one I put about $700 into lol.

Here is a link about how they are used if you are interested.

Got mine working, with a little tinkering. You guys are dead right about the throw on the switch. It's "easy" but FAR too long. Waitin' on some shims. ;)

Anyway, here's a few pics. This ohm'd out to 1.4. There's a third wrap that is hidden by the ekowool sock. When I get the shims and do a rebuild, I'll do a cleaner wick. I was just eager to get it working. And work, it DOES! Overall, I'm happy with it. Should be about $20 cheaper though. I'm hoping the build quality on the Rainbow Elite Hybrid is at least slightly better, but honestly I ain't expecting much. All I know is, I've got a HYBRID! And I dig it!

I have one in my cart but trying to make the final decision on if they are worth it. I have high end hybrids but kind of want to get this just to try it really and maybe to use as an out of the house hybrid that iI do not have to worry as much about losing or dropping. I have read most of the posts here but am trying to see if those of you that bought one feel it is worth it?

Hey Karla, I think the general consensus is that it is a pretty cheap device, but with a little tinkering you can get it going very well. If 40 dollars is no biggie to you, go for it, but I think we all feel that this should be in the 20-30 dollar price range for the quality. Personally, I'm pretty happy with mine after some tweaking, but I do wish I'd only paid 25ish instead of 40.

Yup, what Edible_Funk said. You WILL want to do something about the throw on the switch, but everything else is very workable. Push the center pin (which sits in the middle of the atomizer housing up top) down a bit and making contact with the battery is waay easier. Since you've already got some nice hybrids, this WILL be somewhat of a disappointment. Just remember where it came from and how much it costs. ;)

I have been having problems with mine firing but I found out that if you push the positive post down it will work as it is supposed to. I believe the whole thing is made out of aluminum from the weight of it. The Pure is the same height as it. I am uploading a video review of mine right now. It should be done in a few hours. I show how tall the Pure is to it. It's an alright device but not worth $40-50. I think it is worth $20-$30. But yea, the Pure is very pocket-able. I think the efest batteries have a 10 amp limit.

yes, efest batts are 10C. i have the 18350s and 18490s from eFest and the rep i email with said they were both 10C.

im surprised that you guys are saying the top cap feels light. i have the iAtty from 101Vape, which looks just about identical to the iChy atty. the top cap on the iAtty is not light IMO. but i will weigh it tonight and post my findings. if any of you guys have a scale, weigh your top cap and we'll compare.

i was going to buy this hybrid, but i decided to just get the iAtty because i just happen to have the yiloong caravela clone and the two match up perfectly.

edit: yes, this is on my I-Chybrid.

So, determined to make BOTH the ceramic AND this leftover (clean) cotton gauze work, I made this!
And it worked GREAT. Until I snapped the ceramic when trying to adjust the coils.
But, the theory is sound. I just need to do it again and not break the friggin' wick.

In some of these you can see the little bits of cotton exploding off the wick. That's what the dust is from.
This was almost worth it for the photos I got alone.

I got 7.9 grams for just the top cap with no drip tip. For comparison the RSST is 15.2 grams.

Wow! So the iAtty and chybrid atty are indeed different. Weird.
I got 22.23 grams for the top cap alone. I wonder if the drip tip is different too. Mines 10.62 grams.

I got 3.7 grams for the drip tip. Maybe the i-atty uses chrome plated brass. I think the V2 SS used a SS top cap but the deck was chrome plated brass.
