I've been vaping away on my Evo for about three weeks... Bliss! No more moans and dirty looks, the family even sit in the same room as me! But, over the last day or so, the flavours have lost their, er, flavours, and an underlying burnt taste seems to cut through what were great juices. I've tried blowing out the atomisers etc, but no joy. Am I losing it, or does something need replacing already??

Are you using dry cartridges and filling them yourself? Try a new one.

New filling seemed to help - tried a different flavour as well, as I wondered if I had sort of 'tuned out' of the one I had been using. Still not the cleanest of tastes though. May have been overdoing it - bit like a kid in a sweetshop!

Thanks, Kate - great link. It's good to know I'm not the only one. I'll try switching to Riskee - can't say I'm a huge fan, but at least I can taste the stuff!

Hey everyone!

I have been vaping for about 4 days now and absolutely loving it.

But today I noticed that the taste is becoming sort of bitter. It's not a burnt taste like many describe....it's just....bitter.

I have been topping off my carts with Camel High from e-smokeytreats.com. It tasted and vaped very well for 2 days, but today it's tasting yucky.

I have been rinsing my carts and washing/re-using the stuffing (warm water only).

I have been 'blowing out' the atomizers from the battery end and standing them up to drain overnight.

I have not tried cleaning my atomizers with hot/boiling water (I only have 2 and am a bit paranoid about ruining them - 2 more in the mail, coming tomorrow I hope).

I only have 2 batteries right now, but have been keeping them as charged as possible. Both are dead (not charged) at the moment


So that's about all the relevant info that I can think of at this time. The 'sweetness' of the Camel liquid seems to be gone....it still produces lots of vapor when the battery is charged and the cart has been freshly topped off, but it just tastes kind of bitter and nasty. It was absolutely delicious imo when I first started using it.

Is it possible I'm just getting used to it and/or sick of it?

Any thoughts?

bitter could be from the high strength nicotine. Nicotine has a bitter taste to it.

It's gotten a little better....flavors still taste pretty weak to me though....but I still get that burnt taste if I vape one flavor too long. And I've tried everything....new carts....new atomizers. I swear it's gotta be my taste buds

I switch up flavors often just to be able to keep tasting something!

I notice that too when I get stuck on a flavor too long. I've found washing my carts out and trying a new flavor really helps, along with fresh batteries and cleaning out the atomizer... Or maybe it's just an excuse to try different flavors...either way it's fun.
