First off, I will state that up to now (and continuing indefinitely) I have been an abysmal failure at RBAs. It isn't that I haven't tried. I certainly have, but no matter how hard I've tried, my creations simply hit too hard. To the point it literally burns and damages my throat. I have to sadly sit on the sidelines while everyoe else on ECF carries on about their "wonderful", "nothing like it", "bettter than blah blah.." RBAs. I salute you and send you all on your merry way. Live long and prosper. It's not for me.

But don't weep for me. I enjoy bottom feeders, so I get my "dripping experience". I also am quite proficient with carto tanks, and have no issues with them at all. I dislike a very "hot" vape, and generally use 2ohm on most of my equipment, with the exception of my variable voltage PVs.

Now that is out of the way I came up with a "best of both worlds" idea for my Bogger Box. (Now, to all you pumped up Reonauts...it wasn't personal that I got a Bogger. Quite simply I got a deal on the classies I couldn't refuse and REO was frankly out of my budget at the time.. My Bogger is a true champ and a beauty. Absolutely no regrets, and I am perfectly content with it.) Since RBAs were plainly out of the running for my Bogger...and simple atties like the Cisco or cartos looked a little silly on it...I came up with this. I use a Smok Pyrex 2.5ml. tank on it! That way I can get feed from both the tank and when needed, refersh the carto as needed with a squonk. 10 1/2ml. on board...and since I can keep the coil really wet with the squonk ...the carto will last AGES. With no degeneration of flavor. I am loving this thing....and think it even looks pretty good! Also in the picture to the right is my MV Trixie...another great favorite in my VV arsenal.

Hi fourthrok :)

About RBAs, something to consider is a RM2 for a Bogger bottom feeder and using coils already made in the ohm of your desire. I get mine here: Rebuildable Atomizer Coils - Avid Vaper.

btw there is 5 coils in a pack that will last for a long time. I use cotton for my wicks and just replace the wick not the coil. The coil can be dryburned to clean it after you take the old wick out and before putting a new one in.

While I appreciate the efforts of some of the RBA crowd to try to covert me (yet again. Got to hand it to them for persistence)....that's sort of missing the point of my OP, really. I was hoping for a little feedback on the Smok pyrex on the box. Thought perhaps some people might have some thoughts about it. Guess there's not much interest in the idea. I thought it was kinda cool, however and thought I'd share. Ah, well.

fourthrok, is this the Smok tank you are using? It was what came up when I Googled but it's not a carto tank.

I'm still exploring options for my new Vmod. Thanks for sharing. This kind of thing never occurred to me.

Actually, the tank shown on the Bogger in the pic above is a Smok pyrex dct. I replaced the carto with a 2ohm Boge, however. They are nice tanks and work well on a "traditionl" bottom feeder that you blind squonk. Not sure how it'd do on a Vmod, however. Pyrex DCT
Hi fourth, How you been? Have you tried the tank on your vmod yet?

I understand now, thanks.

I like thinking outside the box. You just never know what you might come up with.

Hope you keep enjoying the new setup :thumb:

No...haven't really thought about it, since I use the slant coils on my Vmod, and I like the streamlined look with the cone . I do like using the carto tank on the Bogger, though, and am impessed with how it seems to really extend the carto's life having the combo of tank feed with the squonking.

I'm in the same boat as you, I really like the slant coils on my vmod. It's all I've used so far, even though I have an A7 to try out and a couple more devices I'm thinking about trying. But I dislike having to give up my vaping to try something new. Oh well, maybe I'll get lucky and be able to supplement my 1 Xl with another one!

I bought 2 of the A7s...I think one is supposed to be the "mini" (??) and the other is the full size one. They are kinda pretty in an industrial sort of way, and I do know "how" to do the whole coil wick thing. It's just that I do it badly. The TH burning thing rips my throat out. I managed to get it right exactly one time (it was still pretty hot..but livable) for about 5 hours. WAY too much hassle for me. Not to mention I didn't appreciate having a sore throat for 2 days. Not into self torture stuff.

Are you saying you have NO back up? Didn't we tell you to keep a back up? Oh dear!
