Droid X for a month, like it lots.
LauncherPro for the desktop, Documents 2 go pro version (cool to be able to view and even edit Excel, Word, Powerpoint), AndFTP (Use it to push photos to my Web site), Tapatalk Pro (for here), and a decent scientific calculator (gotta have my RPN).

I've had my Ego since release day! I love my phone! I have too many apps to mention here, but my favorite has to be the toddler lock that lets my son play with my phone, without breaking anything! lol! It's rooted and is doing all that fun stuff, but that's the best part. My son is like a phone .....! If he sees one it has to be in his hands!

I've had Android since the day the G1 was released. I bought the G2 the day it was released. I rooted it last week and have been running Cyanogenmod 6.1 RC1 for a couple days.

I'll be happy when Cyanogen gets some of the kinks worked out. This is the first time running a CM build that didn't actually improve my phones performance.

Either way, I lurv my Androidz...

Another Cyanogenmod 6 user here. I tried 6.1RC but it wasn't stable for me. First CM I've had a problem with.

CM6 runs great though- 1.25Ghz max kernel with some pretty conservative power management settings to keep it from draining the battery too quickly.

I've had the Droid since last december- never been into smartphones, but I do like to support linux whenever and wherever possible.

Side note: one of the best things about this phone/os is the navigation. I have since sold both of my Garmin GPS units as I never used them anyway.

As for running Android on other devices- haven't messed with it for quite a while but I had 1.6 running on my netbook for a while. I had hoped to be able to get it running on my car computer, but I need Froyo or better to get all I want working properly and never was able to get that working unfortunately. Now I'm waiting for some more Meego improvements, like touchscreen support for the eGalax screen I have.

Love the Android phone though.

i upgraded to the droid x recently, great great phone, rooted running rubix blurry, good stuff.

Did they ever figure out how to get custom kernels running on the Droid X?
Last time I looked (for someone I used to work with) they had rooted them and could do themes and such, but not kernels.

using an HTC g2, which is a replacement for my HTC g1 that finally dropped one out of my pocket one time too many, and screen cracked. I love it, love the screen, the keyboard, etc... but hate the battery life... trying to work out how to wire it up to an 18650 battery ;)

I don't root it, even though I am geeky enough to... I just have yet to see a need.

T-mobile rocks here too.

Android is awesome. After showing off my Android tablet (and keyboard case) around work several people have given up on the dream of an ipad and picked up a tablet as well. Mine runs 2.1 and I don't see an update to 2.2 in the cards. Now I'm waiting on the Android 3.0 tablet specific release.

What Tablet do you have? I am happy with my HTC EVO on Sprint, it's kind of a Tablet already.
