had an HTC fuze running xdandroid and loved it. Messed it up by looking for an external antenna port (I work in a screen room designed to keep RF signal In/Out so the amplifiers I work on don't interfere with any other projects).

Now i'm back to winmo 6.5, and utterly detest it.

next phone will definitely be a native android phone.

I finally found this thread
well i started out with the droid 1 (og) it was rooted as soon as the exploit was found and i love it still hardly use it and more i have ran almot every rom on it been overclocked to 1.5 great phone.
next the eris i bought just to play around with i rooted it the day i bought it removed sense ( i hate sense i would rather have the ASOP on all android phones then the end used can choose the interface they prefer) over clocked the eris to 750 great phone for the price i paid but i was offered more than i paid so it left
then the droid x amazing phone crazy fast the only thing i could not stand was the dang moto-blur it is horrible very intrusive and hogs way to much ram it was rooted as soon as birdman found the exploit aslo the roms came shortly there after. then it was bricked andwhy i waited for a replacement i bought a droid incredible great phone also very fast the only complaint i had was again sense so i rooted and ran cyan 6 among others ASOP roms
well that is where i am at today paitencly waiting on the droid incredible hd to be released and the motorla tab

Oooh I didn't know we had an Android thread going on here. I have an LG Ally. They finally announced we'll at least be getting Froyo in Feb. The user community already has a Froyo ROM working and I gave it a try for a while. It was really nice but a bit buggy since it's just a beta someone is working on. Looking forward to the official in a few months. Maybe someone will even be able to get Gingerbread working for the Ally but I think it may be too underpowered for that. I'm happy with this phone though. Some of the other phones are really nice but I like still having a physical keyboard.

I am not really familiar with the ally is it sense based or asop. I said the same thing about the physical keyboard until I bought the dx and dinc I love the screen keyboard

The iphone is a great device but its not customizable (if that's a word) once you root android the possibilitys are endless. Android is built so the end user can do whatever they want. I would hold off on your choices for now next year when everyone has 4g there will be quite a few new devices
