Right...its not fully a custom rom until someone finds a way to change the kernel (hopefully)...i still like my dx though...better than my blackberry storm (it took a while to get used to typing on fixed screen coming from a clickable screen)...and a billion times better than my winmo (it was hacked to all hell, so it was a powerful little device)...

The iphone is a great device but its not customizable (if that's a word) once you root android the possibilitys are endless. Android is built so the end user can do whatever they want. I would hold off on your choices for now next year when everyone has 4g there will be quite a few new devices

The Iphone is very very customizable... Just jailbreak it and the options are nearly endless.

Endless for themes and non apple approved apps but when it comes down to it your still stuck under Steve jobs thumb. I'll pass on the black turtle neck

ok i will try tanquil, i seem to be having trouble installing roms, I download the zip, and am usign droid x boot strapper to get into boot mode. from there i wipe cache and delete user dater, rom installs i get stuck in a boot loop, so i hold down power home and volume to get to droid logo with sign, from there i have to factory reset phone and it keeps putting apex on for some reason

Not sure I think its rom specific but on some you have to format different things and usually mount the system but that info should be in the install how to
