I feel as though the Andromeda was a very good value but I love the chip and am willing to pay more for fabulous machining because I appreciate it. Other people value different things which works great for me. :) I'm not the type of person who thinks the rest of the world should share my personal preferences.

I've recommended Reos to others but I only like regulated devices and don't like fussing with Kicks. I would be very doubtful that the cost of machining a Reo versus an Andromeda would be similar. Also, the SX350 chip isn't a bargain as well as taking additional labor to install. Plain SX350 boxes are usually $200+.

The SX350 chip will support +/- buttons but you would need to contact PiMODZ to ask them if it would be something they would be willing to do. Despite the fact that I've always detested one button menus I gave my first SX350 mod a try without having the modder add the +/- buttons. I was shocked at how quickly I came to prefer the menu as is without the buttons.

The SX350 has 5 presets that are more than enough to get me where I want for any of my favorite juices so not having +/- buttons hasn't been an issue. I've never missed them at all and they are just something else to clutter things, collect gunk and break. Most of the comments I've seen reflect a similar comfort with the SX350's single button menu but someone who perpetually fusses with tweaking power settings up and down might feel quite differently.
