These were in my mailbox today. http://www.madvapes.com/MadVapes-510-Dual-Coil-Clear-Cartomizer_p_3109.html

I realize that there are several carto threads and one just below this one as I type but I wanted some exact clarification which I didnt find elsewhere.

These cartos are clear and while the product page says they hold 25 drops e-liquid, I'm finding they take much more to get fluid to be absorbed by the entire carto.

Am I using to much? Should the entire white portion of filler in the cartridge at least be tinted the same color as my juice? Can or should there be any areas of white in the carto? Is my juice, which is more of a VG base, the reason why its taking more than 25 drops to properly wet or soak the filler material? Should the filler material be soaked rather than just tinted?

Do these cartos heat uniformly or from the bottom to the top? I get great vape from these and I am really liking them. I just want to make sure I'm not using to much or to little and am getting the best performance out of them. When they start to dry and need more juice, is it from the sides, the top, the bottom, the middle?

Sorry for so many questions, just want to make the most of my purchase. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

High VG liquids are harder to use in cartos. They don't spread well through carto stuffing which can cause dry spots, singeing, and sluggish wicking and draw. Some people say those dual coils work better than normal cartos with thicker liquids but I would thin the liquid. With regular Boge cartos I get the best continued performance with thin juices 20% or less and the clearer the better (for no flavoring sediment).

And hopefully you are using those on big batteries 400mah+. Some people won't even go that low on Ego or Riva and only use under 2.0 ohm stuff on mods.

I have 3109 DC also.
Holds closer to 40-50 drops.
PG wicks in much quicker than 90%VG.
I fill till gurgles or just starts to leak.
I gently sling out the excess after first fill.
Allow to sit awhile before vaping.
They are quite durable w/ 100% PG flavorless.
There will be visible air pockets.

Thanks for the tips, everyone.

So if there are white spots within the carto, this is acceptable?

These DC cartos can take a long time to fill by dripping. I don't have the patience for that so I use the condom method or syringe and then I do the Taryn Spin. This forces the juice to the bottom and fills in those gaps. I put a condom on each end just so I don't lose any juice. You can find out how to do this by typing taryn spin in the "Search ECF with Google" search box in the upper right hand corner of every page. If you can't find or don't understand what this taryn spin is let me know and I'll give more detail.
