Just going to throw in my 2 cents. I have been vaping since Jul 10. have made numerous internet purchases of vaping supplies in the states and China. i have had 3 seperate incidents with CC Fraud. the first one was in Aug and i have had 2 now in Sept.I'm not placing blame on anybody. my latest fraudulent activity has made me a member of a very popular childrens video club:) I have never had any CC fraud until Aug of this year.(makes you kind of wonder)I have had a CC for over 30 years and have purchased online in the past. From now on i will place orders by phone or use a pre paid card. I recomend that everybody run a malware check on your computer. I did and there were multiple problems.

I'm sorry to those who have had fraud on their cards but it had NOTHING to do with electronic cigarette vendors specifically. It's really silly to keep coming in here and posting threads like this, crying wolf when there is no evidence and even people's banks are telling them that it's not the vendors they purchase from. We're giving the FDA it's next bogus bullet point against PV's with these unsubstantiated claims.

Even the thread title "Another credit card fraud case" is misleading, cause we've had so many confirmed cases where it was directly linked to vendors not using adequate encryption, not using secured servers, or some other bumbling. Oh wait a second, that hasn't happened at all.

I have just returned from my bank to try to clear up 2 1/2 pages of charges that tried to go through on my debit card. Luckily only 5 posted, but that was 5 too many. I believe I know where it started from and all I am going to say is PLEASE beware of personal sales in the classified section! I have been only dealing with vendors in the US and that are part of this forum and have had great success. This all started right after a private sale. I guess I am going to take the advise of the wiser on here and go purchase a credit card to be used only for my e-cig supplies. I thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones that wasn't going to get hit, but I guess we are all victims at one time or another!:(
You don't need to purchase one. Just open another account at your bank for online only and set it up so if there is no money in it no money comes out. It doesn't cost anything. Then when I buy something I just transfer money to it for that purchase only. I'm sure it's a cc handling co. the vendors use. All my classifieds stuff has been paid for with Paypal. Since I've been using this online account I haven't been hit. But they could only get a dollar two ninety eight out of it anyway.

I checked all of my files - no spyware - no malware - all clean.
On the 20th I got 35 fraud hits on my card.
Last two purchases were e-cig related - through their site.
Something is up - lets see what the bank comes up with. Ive also contacted the police.
The really crazy thing is that I got most of the stuff is coming to my house as if I placed the orders - got shoes, I pod chargers, netflix, and many others.
the emails they used as confirmation are bogus -such as grfs@msn.com, trfg@msn.com and they used a different one for each order - including ones from the same vendor.
this is most disturbing - this has never happened to me before and I shop on the internet quite often.
I do not believe it has anything to do with paypal.
