I don't think I am alone in being quite fed up with certain busy body organizations using the federal government as their enforcer for dictating the way other people live their lives. I am referring specifically to the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), a branch of The American Cancer Society. If there is an award for the most idiotic thing ever said, this would have a lock on the gold medal;
E-cigarettes are often manufactured to resemble traditional cigarettes, and are available in fruit and candy flavors that are appealing to youth. The familiar appearance and enticing flavors could actually encourage kids to try traditional cigarettes, rather than avoid them,
according to Hansen. Really? Because a teenager happens to see an ad for a fruit flavored ecig he or she is going to run out and start smoking tobacco cigarettes. Are they as concerned about condom commercials? Not only do these advocacy groups need to get their facts straight about ecigs but they need to get it that no one assigned them hall monitor for lunch hour. I have given up on the Obama Administration and the FDA. They will never change. They believe it is their sacred duty to protect Americans from themselves. Their world view is one that we poor uneducated masses are so fortunate that we have Harvard Ph.Ds who are willing to insert themselves into every corner of our personal lives. Without them we would be eating paint chips while duct taping our children to the roofs of our cars. I am truly hoping that the ecig issue will begin waking up the sleeping masses who vote Democrat because that's what their parents did. Well, this ain't your parents Democrat party. Can you say Western European Socialism?

you know what else comes in fruit flavors? vodka and cigars. guess we better ban that too. oh wait they wont do that because they are taxed. its not about the children, and even if it was would you rather them smoke or use an ecig?

Also, grain alcohol looks just like water. Not just that, but water is also used in antifreeze, nuclear plants, most dangerous poisons, and some techniques of torture. Ban water! Somebody think of the children! :grr:

I'm a Liberty activist, so I don't guess I really have to add anything else. Nonetheless...

Reality check: We're adults who are capable of making our own decisions, therefore are also responsible for any consequences of said decisions. Where minors are concerned, this is the responsibility of their parents, not the government. There's also the glaring reality that teenagers will do whatever they want and the more an activity is disapproved of by society, and even more so, their parents, the more hell-bent they are on doing it.

To me it comes down to personal choice. There's always going to be a way to get something that you shouldn't have.

There's always going to be someone who wants everyone else to be as miserable as they are too.

So yea, do your part and fight back. Education is a virtue, not a requirement.
