Hello Folks, another newbie trying to get into the vape world. I haven't bought anything yet. I've been researching online and I think I have a decent understanding of what needs to be bought. But of course I want the best bang for my buck like everyone else. That's why I'm here.
A little about me.
12 year smoker.
20-30 light/gold cigs a day.

I'm looking to spend under $100 to get me started. I'm currently looking at two different styles. Kanger subox Nano Kit and joyetech Ego One 2200mAh. As a beginner, which would you go with? Or would you opt for something else? Thank you!

I have both devices, and they are brilliant for different situation and purposes.. If a were to buy now them I will anyway buy none of them :) - I would buy the eVic VT mini Starter Kit + the Subtank Mini :) and you are around 100 bucks and with also TC, and Bypass mode (like a Mech), and 2 tanks.. just a suggestion.

Hi @jeff0724
and welcome.. yeah nowadays in the markets there are so many options, and a lot of info to be overwhelmed with. My suggestion above was driven from the fact I had both the mentioned devices and from when I bought the eVic VT Mini I end-up discarding the Kanger Box Mod and using the eVic VTC Mini Mod alternatively with the 2 tanks (ego one and sub tanks) - no doubt they are different :) I tried many other devices regulated, un-regulated and other tanks, or RDA too.. for a beginner my recommendation is the set-up above, it will give you the initial boost to begin vaping and you can gradually evolve in TC Mods, experience the Mech Mode.. so it is an all-in-one device for progressing into the world of vaping.. One thing I forgot before - I recommend a Samsung 25 R4 as 18650 batteries.. and if possible to charge it separately on a dedicated charger :)

Hi and congrats on making the switch! I have been cig free for 10 days! I started with that Eleaf I Just2. It's relatively inexpensive at around $30-$35. The starter kit comes with a tank and a.03 coil head. I get a lot of vapor and flavor off of it. If you go with any sub ohm device, I would suggest that you don't go too high on the nic in your juice. I started with a 12 and it was way too much due to the fact that I was pretty much chain vaping. I was a pack a day Marlboro red smoker. I have since switched to 6mg or 3mg and throw Ina couple of 0mg when I feel like I need to keep vaping. I don't miss the cigs at all. Good luck to you!

Hello and Welcome, I realize all this is new and very overwhelming to say the least. Many of us who have been vaping for a while cannot keep up with all the new vape gear hitting the market. My advise, go to a Vape shop near you and look around ask questions, for myself it was worth the extra I spent at a store that got me started with some good gear, you are going to have issues with anything you buy and sometimes you can't wait until something is sent by mail. Once you quit smoking you don't want to start again.

2nd piece of advise, get a back up. I have been vaping for 2 years and I still always want a backup and a backup for the backup, gear breaks or get lost or stolen.

I also recently quit, I went to my local store & spent a few more bucks than online but they were extremely helpful in helping me figure out what my needs were so for me the extra few bucks was worth it.

I bought the Ego One & a TC Mod, the Ego one form factor works better for me when I'm out & about, it's also pretty stealthy. I showed it to a friend & he bought it from me on the spot so now I need to replace it. Good luck & keep it up.
