Hi guys, first off, i'm so glad i stumbled across this forum, there's a wealth of unbiased knowledge here that you cant find on vendor's websites!!

Anyway, I am just now starting to get into this vaping thing and from reading through this place for the last day or 2, I have narrowed down what i think i want to 2 or 3 choices, but still have some questions.. Below are the links to the specific ones i'm looking at..

510 PCC Cartomizer Kit
and
KGO kit1100mAh by SLB

I am curious about the mah of the batteries in the 510 kit with the PCC and what kind of life i can expect out of them, or if I should go with the 1100 mah, Kgo style? is that PCC kit auto or manual? Anyone with some experience with either?? I am brand new to this whole thing and where I'm at now is very limited on cigs, bought a blu disposable and it's ok... Flavor wise i think i can do a lot better with one of these kits and all.. As far as battery life, i really want to see if, since i am such a light "vaper", if the small ones with the PCC will suffice? I have been using the blu disposable for a day and a half as of now and it is still going, i'm fine with the level of vapor production, it's auto but i understand manual is the way to go... Just looking for something that I can use better juice in, and can recharge.. Your thoughts are appreciated, thanks

510 PCC is a good way to start, but I would suggest if you want to make a long go of this then you might want to try the KGO. As you learn more about vaping, you will probably want to try different carto's/atty's/tanks etc. The KGO will give you more flexibility in the long run, and in my opinion it is handier to have one battery that lasts a long time than multiple batteries that might only last a few hours.

Go with the kgo. Most likely, you will quickly get annoyed with recharging those little batteries (happens to most of us) and the vapor production will be much better as well (which people also tend to prefer after starting out with the little ones).

MOST people who start with the little "cig lookalikes" move on to something a little bigger for these reasons. My advice would be go ahead with the kgo.

Hi and welcome to ECF. 100 mah= 1 hr of normal vaping. About the PCC re: manual or automatic email Bill at Darkcityvapor and ask.
Realize the PCC comes with only 1 batt. Many friends have bought the Kgo and are very satisfied with it. They like the longevity of the batts and the fact it's a true 3.7 volt. I used one for a week and was very impressed. Re: V4L PV- stay away from vendors that do not give the mah rating of the batt IMHO.
Good Luck.

According to the sites,

The 510 doesn't say if it's automatic or manual (I prefer manual as the battery connection end is usually sealed and you won't get liquid into it and cause a short) you'll need to check with them as I couldn't locate it anywhere. The pcc batt is 1200mah, this will work with Boge cartos ~ good for a light to moderate vaper and should be roughly the same size as what you're using now.

The kgo is a 1100mah batter and looks to be manual, this is going to be larger (a medium size cigar) Can use Boge cartos as well as Ego style cartomizers (note that some of these (ego style) will only work on this style battery as the threading attaches to what would have been used to thread on the cone) good for moderate to heavy vaping.

Be sure to check for discount codes on the forums, also important is to check the warranties from the supplier. I recommend getting 2 batteries and a full wall wart for charging.

hth!;)

Thanks for the quick responses guys! I have emailed darkcityvapor to ask, and you guys beat them!! haha. I did also try to call today and yesterday with no answer, wonder if they are on vacation or something.. So it seems like the PCC in the 510 kit is 1200 Mah, but they do not mention the capacity of the PV batteries that it charges.. The Kgo is 1100 Mah, which to me means, that the Kgo PV battery and the PCC have the same capacity, only overall difference is if the little 510s are charged with whatever juice they hold... So, to that effect, in order to have a very similar Mah total, I would have to carry a case with the little 510s vs. carrying just the Kgo... Seems like overall the Kgo would be smaller, providing that i didnt need to carry it in a case with additional cartomizers... So that brings me to the next question, would I have to carry Kgo in a case with additional cartomizers? Like, will a carto keep up with the huge battery capacity, or will it run out before the battery does?

Also, if I am light like I think I am, It seems like these battery capacities are measured in hours of active vaping... not hours in a day, so if I have one that does say, 2 hours like the little guys, vape for 10 min, set it aside for an hour or 2, do I still have 1 hr 50 min left when i pick it back up? Am I understanding this right? if that is the case then i would think the little ones would last me all day, and the Kgo would last me multiple days?

Last thing for now, Like i said, i am brand new and have one of the Blu disposables, which are a little bigger than the regular ones at .38" diameter and 4.63" length.. How does that measure up against the Kgo?

Between the two choses I would suggest the KGo, because of the battery life. The battery life is "in use" battery life where a manual battery like the KGO is involved. With an automatic battery like the other one, it can use the battery life while you aren't using it. I've had an eGo and the battery will last me all day of rather heavy vaping. I found that the eGo will fit in a small glass case that you can pick up at a WalMart store, plus a couple of extra already filled cartomizers. Best of luck to you!

The Kgo is a beast...When I used the Kgo for a week it pretty well lasted all day and the batt only drains when you're vaping. As for spare cartos when you buy them they come with condoms (rubber caps) on the ends. Just fill a couple, caps on and put them in a mint container- fits perfectly. Eventually you can purchase a tank, anywhere from 1.5 ml to 6 ml afetr you get the hang of vaping.

It says the CHARGING CASE is 1200 mah...doesn't say about the batteries...

I have KGOs and very highly recommend them. I wish I'd found this and saved a ton of money on the stick-styles that I have hanging around collecting dust! So here's my experience with the KGO... these batts last all day and into the next. I always carry both batteries and a bunch of filled cartos,, just as a precaution because you just never know. I've had them for a couple months now and they work perfectly. I use Boge 2.0 cartos,, but I get the best vape from 1.7ohm low rez single coil cartos (Crystal Clear Vape calls them resurrectors, but lots of places carry them.) The 1.7's hold almost 2mls of juice so they last a good long time. I got an Ego carrying case, it looks kind of like a hard glasses case and everything I need for the day fits nicely. I also recommend a couple of drip tips to replace those little plastic caps that come on the cartos.. makes it very easy to refill your cartos. And KGOs come in colors!! I have the red ones,, and going to get a couple blue ones too. I really think the KGO is a perfect starter kit for a noob... it's not huge like a big box mod, it is bigger than an analog, but the vape, for me anyway, is so good I don't care that it's bigger than a ciggy. And in four months I have not had an analog, nor have I wanted one. As for juice,, it's so subjective. What I like, you might hate but I do highly recommend ECBlends.. I find them to have the truest flavors around and you can make your own mixes... there's a gazillion possibilities there. I wish you luck.. you've found a great place to start!!

I got a kGo kit for my first Ecig and am loving it. It is a manual and I don't find that a problem at all. I didn't order mine from DCV, but have ordered a lot of other stuff from there and have been pleased with them - especially since they throw in samples of juice with so many of their products! (great for us newbies!!)

I am liking Boge 2.0 ohm cartos, and have some SmokeTech 1.7 cartos on the way...

Good luck finding something that works for you! I've been in the game a week, and although it is confusing figuring out what to get, it is a lot of fun learning from people here on the ECF and it is SO much better than smoking!!!

The KGO is about the size of a sharpie marker, but I don't find that to be a problem. I got mine from Virgin Vapors because she had the red one I wanted. Now I'm leaning toward Hoosier because he has the blue one! One thing.. these kits come with atty/cartridge combos, no cartos.. so be sure to order a bunch of cartos.. start out with Boge 2.0. Those atty's are junk,, I'm in the market right now for a decent one,,, but that's down the road for you. photo.jpg

This is my red one... very purdy!!

Agreed with everyone on the kGos - I started with a Mistic (similar to the 510 but with better battery life), and quickly upgraded to a kGo from Hoosier - it kept me happy and off the stinkies until I was ready to move to mods - I now have several mods, but still use my kGo every day! :)

As already said, be sure you order cartos as well, as they are much easier to use, and last longer before they need topping off.
I started with a variety of cartos - boge 2.0, SmokeTek 1.7, dual coil shorties, etc to figure out my preferences - they will vary from person to person.

You'll also want a syringe for filling the cartos - you can use the condom method, but I prefer the syringe - quick and easy, and you can measure your liquid so you don't over fill.

Don't forget to order juice! The vendor you buy your kit from may have a selection, or you can search the boards/google e-liquid and find a wide variety of juice vendors. One of my favorites is ECBlend E-Liquids - Something Better for their variety, price and quality.
