So I just bought a reo mini off the classies, and I'm trying to gather all my needed extras right away so I can use it as soon as it arrives!

My main question is about attys. I'm far from being an atty pro... I don't want to jump into rbas yet, because I suck at redoing my pro tank coils.lol. and I've never dripped before....
So, are these even remotely correct and simple attys ?
EM-LR 510 1.5 ohm atomizer and Smok Tech 2.0 ohm lr 510 atomizer, I figured they must be correct since I got them from reomods ;)
My hopes in my REO are to make vaping much more simple. I don't really like to tinker, and just want the best and easiest vape I can get!

I know people enjoy cartos on theirs, but every time I mess with a carto tank, my juice just tastes hot so yah..

Thanks a bunch! I hear a lot of good about these forums :)

Hi Miarose, although making coils made me nervous I started out with premade coils because they were not scary for me to use with the RM2. I got them here Rebuildable Atomizer Coils - Avid Vaper They come in different ohms and work great. The best thing is all i had to do was put them in the RM2.

Just a suggestion but getting the RM2 and some premade coils can save you money and then if you decide to make your own later you will already have the best RBA for Reo.

Hi Loli. I seem to be able to wrap them fine, but they always taste...strange.. Possibly from the silica, maybe its cheap, no clue, but I have more coming in the mail. Ya, I've read tons about the rm2 so I'm sure I'll end up getting one, And even after watching videos, rbas just scare me Lol. After reading people say how easy protank coils are I'm like o_O mine taste gross LOL so I've stayed away from anything more difficult.

Welcome to the club!

I've never used anything except the RM2 on my Reo but I'm sure those will work just fine. Let us know if you run into any problems or have questions, we'll get you sorted out quickly.

Thanks :)
Yah seems so many like the rm2, that I guess I'll have to get one Lol. Making the coil for it actually seems much easier than fussing with pro tank heads. I'm just leery about the taste I get on all my rebuilt heads. So maybe the attys will get me by until I get one and figure out why mine taste gross haha

I used to rebuild my vivi novas too, the RM2 is waaaayyyy easier to build than any clearo. Grab a multimeter/ohm checker, some 28-30 gauge wire, and a bag o' sterile cotton, and you'll see what everyone is talking about.

It could very well be the silica, have you tried running the silica over a flame first? I had some funky tasting silica before and found that hitting it with a bic for a few secs fixed that issue.

And the rm2. Lol cotton also gave a funky taste for me. I guess I'm super sensitive.

That I have not, and its on my plan of action for when I sit down to give it a go again.

I'd give cotton another go, but get sterile cotton like this or rolled
. Cotton can sometimes pick up funky odors from the store and it translates to the taste, the sterile cotton is sealed so it shouldn't have any funk to it. Also, the amount of cotton you use has a big impact on taste too, I see a lot of people using too much.

With the silica, make sure to torch it pretty well, but be careful because it will get really hot and takes a bit to cool. I'd recommend using pliers to hold it.

Torching the silica wick will burn off the production stuff - I never boil mine.

But really, go ahead and get an RM2 AND one or two 510 atomizers. That way you can always fall back to the 510s, but you will master the RM2 in no time, I am sure. Rebuilding the pro tank and other heads is far more advanced than rebuilding a RBA because they are so tiny and complicated compared to something that is far larger and actually designed to be rebuilt.

You guys are awesome, and very good at spending my money lol. I'm just nervous to buy it because I've never used one, and I don't even have tracking for my reo yet lol. I think I'll go all out and kill my bank account and buy two rm2s and another mini. I'm clumsy and drop my mods quite often, so maybe two is a good idea for when all my vv/vw mods break lol

Now, is it possible to request an all pink one?!

Hey Mia,
Congrats on your purchase. You should fear not in your ability to build a great vaping RM2. It is the easiest RBA I've had to get an amazing vaping setup with minimal effort and I hear that the not so pretty builds vape as good as the artwork builds :)

There is a photo step by step tutorial in the stickies above that will have you using a mini coil in no time.

Here's a couple of videos. This one is kinda about RBA basics and details coil placement and variables that affect TH:

This one is how to make a micro coil:

I've only used cotton (sterile rolled not boiled) and twist up a very dense wick out of it but not so thick that it binds up in the coil when you pull it thru. The wick wants to be the same thickness the entire length of the wick.

It is very easy :)

No doubt. The first thing I rebuilt was protank heads. I was proficient at that before I got my first RDA. It was amazing, I was like "THERE'S SO MUCH SPACE!".

OP: The rm2 is a breeze. Watch some vids, get some wick, wire & drill bits and you'll be having the best vape of your life in no time!

Welcome to Reoville Miarose. Go ahead and go for it with the RM2's. We've got your back! In all honesty it's easy and there's too many super helpful people here to let it go to waste. I'd even say if you didn't have hands a Reonaut here would teach their self to wrap a coil with their feet so they could teach you how to do it. The folks here are beyond amazing.
