Another svd firing button victim

Okay, so, I have an itaste svd. Dark screen dark button. My firing button is being an ..... At first it was just the + button. That happened out the box. But then the + button started working now the firing button does what everyone else's does. Doesn't fire, just shuts off mid fire, or shuts the svd off completely. I've seen the tutorial how to disassemble on here, and since my head doesn't have threading.... I assume it's glued. But I've used a small flat tip and a hammer I've used players to wiggle it, nothing seems to make the glue loose. I'd really like to get this open and try and fix this bc I can't afford ANYTHING else at the moment. Please..... anyone.... help.

Can you not return it? Doesn't the US have consumer protection laws?
