I've been reading through some of the other suggestions, and checking reviews, but find I still can't make up my mind. I've been seriously considering an APV, and have it narrowed down to three (I think) models that I'm interested in.

Currently I'm using ego-t batteries, Vivi Nova tanks, and some DCT tanks (though I much prefer the Novas). This setup isn't bad, but I think I want more.

Anyway, these are the three models I've been looking at.

1. Provari -(approx $200) This seems to be the most widely suggested, with the biggest fan following. Its the most expensive of the three I've been looking at, but if its worth the high price tag, I have no qualms about that. I'd much rather spend a bunch up front than acquiring a collection of different models. So far I've been leaning towards the Provari, because other than the cost, I haven't really been able to find anyone saying anything negative about it. Honestly, spending about what I did in a month on a device that's going to be a rock solid performer doesn't seem to be overspending or a waste to me.

2. Evic - (approx $100) Really, I've only known about this model for a couple of days, and it looks cool. But, do I need yet another device I carry to show me the time? My watch is starting to seem like a lightweight tool these days. Another thing that sort of concerns me with this is being a tech product, is it going to crash or freeze up? Again though, it looks cool, and at nearly half the cost of the Provari, it seems I should consider it

3. Vamo - (approx $60) Definitely doesn't seem the nicest of the three, but look at the cost.

Recap - I really only want to buy one APV, I am interested in VV, and I'm not opposed to spending a little bit of money to get a device that's "the best" (I understand this is very subjective, but I think everyone can understand and appreciate what I mean by this). I just don't want to shell out a couple hundred bucks and find out most of that went into fancy bells and whistles that don't add any functionality. Also, if there's a device that somehow didn't hit my radar, I am not locked in to these.

So, what do the experts think?

Another option.

Even though it is nice to have the VV - most people stay between 4.0-4.4Volts (there are exceptions of course) and keep wattage between 6-11Watts depending on flavors used. Light flavors do better on lower wattage, strong flavors-higher wattages. Some flavors - menthol eg. do well on both but may taste different but still good.

650 mAh $24

900 mAh $28 (for me the extra hour on the 1000 isn't worth the extra length - but that's just opinion...)

The EGO's are a nice "tweener" to see if you like VV and are a great size, really, I love the size of them. But at the end of the day, they are disposable, period! They are cheap enough that isn't a huge factor, and for starting they are great for what you spend. I've just tired of disposable.
The Evic, looks cool, does neat things, but isn't turning out to be all it was cracked up to be. I was torn between this and a Provari myself. I found out it shuts down at 95 deg. F, that sealed the deal for me, it gets hotter than that most summer days here in KS. Some of the reviews coming out haven't been that great, it doesn't do VW in the true sense, change the atty, and you have to power it off and back on, or reset the wattage setting. The menu seems to be way more complicated than need be. There is already a new firmware coming out that is supposed to address some of these issues and there was one that already over heated itself and burnt the inside of the LED. Another product I wanted to like, but I think it's going to need some time to get the bugs sorted out.
The Vamo, I've not found many unhappy users on here. Some nit picky things here and there, but it seems to be a solid device and if you aren't terribly hard on things I think it would be a good route to go. It's also not much more than the EGO's, not disposable, but it's rather large with the full tube on it.
The Provari, well, this is what I ended up buying, while I like it, it really isn't the end all beat all it's made out to be on here. Granted I'll be hard pressed to look for something to replace it with anytime soon! It's heavy, well built and just flat works, first hit until the battery goes dead. But honestly, it doesn't make my juice or atty's any better than my $40 Lava tube clone. I bought it because it's durable and I'm hard on things! I have no fear of dropping this, driving over this, having it role down the driveway or using my welders around it. I also have no doubt it will still be working 2-3 years from now and I know my Lava Tube would have done good to make it six months!
In a nutshell, intro, EGO, wait for the Evic to get sorted out, buy the Vamo and be happy for it's duration, or if you are hard on things and need a tank, the Provari.
