Generally, anti-smoking groups on Facebook DO NOT approve of vaping in public places. Here is an exchange I had with the always (Edited) "Inconsiderate Smokers:"
Inconsiderate Smokers We personally are not big fans of e-cigs but prefer to see them in outdoor public venues. We would not like to be around clouds of vapor though. We like the fact that they do not result in useless butts that are discarded everywhere.20 hours ago · LikeUnlike
Matthew Porter I used mine in the bank and at the coffee shop today. As long as it's not overly-distracting people, it should not be an issue. Basically, it should only be prohibited only where cell phones are prohibited. People around me have never minde...d large clouds of vapor (most don't even give it a second look). If you don't like large clouds of vapor, don't buy a fog machine or go to a rock concert. I don't like people texting and walking (it bothers me more than people blowing cigarette smoke in my face), but I'm not calling for the city council to ban texting on public sidewalks.See More

Inconsiderate Smokers If I knew you I would know to trust you. It is what people we do-not-know or can trust are putting into the delivery device. We cannot go on blind faith when it comes to trusting strangers in public.20 hours ago · LikeUnlike

Matthew Porter But you can make that argument about anything. We don't "know" how much radiation a cell phone emits, but people can still use cell phones almost everywhere. We don't "know" how much radiation an airport body scanner emits, but people are unfortunately more than willing to give up their 4th Amendment rights and a few body cells just to get on a plane.20 hours ago · LikeUnlike
Inconsiderate Smokers Would you drink from the cup of a stranger in public? Vapor, liquid and etc. just keep it to yourself and out of our bodies in any public place.5 hours ago · LikeUnlike

Matthew Porter But like I said, I could be radiating someone if I'm using my cell phone too close to them. Doctors and scientists still don't know the dangers of cell phone radiation, but we all take certain risks in our lives, especially when we're out i...n public. If something is bothering you, walk away. I get bothered by people yakking away on their phones as if they are the only ones in the grocery store. But I don't look to the government to intervene. Should I stop using my cell phone around other people because possibly someday maybe in the far future we may determine that it is radioactive? That hasn't stopped people from texting in public, and it hasn't encouraged the government to take steps against cell phone use in public. If you aren't willing to take risks, sell your car, live at home, and don't cook.See More

Inconsiderate Smokers Using the excuse that other stuff is bad for you to justify exposing others to your habit in public is not acceptable. There is a reason for the bans of uncontained delivery devices as they do not only affect the user. Just do it where it does not expose anyone else in any public place. If you wish to address cell phone radiation you need to go to the Inconsiderate Cell Phone Users page.about an hour ago · LikeUnlike

Matthew Porter Well since I'm not smoking with an E-Cigarette, then I suppose that I should be going to the Inconsiderate Vapers Page.2 seconds ago · LikeUnlike
