So I have completely switched from being a dual user of tobacco and vaping (dip/snus/cigarettes.)

For some reason I am getting worse anxiety (I already suffer from a slight manageable case.) I even went down to 6 mg of nic of light-regular usage and it didn't help much. The anxiety begins late in the day too.

My prediction is that the nicotine is separated from all the other alkaloids and MAOI components, thus strictly leaving a strong stimulant.

I don't really want to use snus anymore though, no matter what everyone says it is not good for the mouth (staining, gum indentations, etc.) I make my own liquid and WTA seems shady and out of my budget range.

Does this happen to anyone else? How can anxiety be combated while vaping?

I don't think I am getting nearly as much nicotine vaping, as I did when I smoked. I don't get irritable or have a nic fit if I don't vape for 8+ hours, like I did when I smoked. Maybe you need to increase the nicotine %.

No, cuz I get kinda jittery and what not. I can tell if its too much/too little though.

Just keep track of your nic input and 'listen' to your body...

I had a SERIOUS situation to deal with back in March this year .... (wife had a Cardiac Arrest in the Bathroom) ...by the Grace of God I "got her back" with some SERIOUS chest Beating (I cracked two of her Ribs) & CPR until the para medics arrived.. up to that point I was Smoking 30 a day .. & with the Stress of THAT ^^^^^ I went right up to 50+ a day !!!!! ...

I had already "Agreed" to only smoke in the Garage (detached thing about 50 Feet from the House) ... but obviously when Marie (wife) came home she needed 24/7 attention & going into the garage fer a quick Cig was out of the question ..... so i took up "Vaping" .. & NEVER LOOKED BACK!!! ......

I think the Anxiety side of things came to the fore during her Hospitalisation ("Had I caused this" / "Was it all MY fault" / had I killed my wife of nearly 40 Years"!!!).......the answer is obviously NO!!! .. but hell it didn't stop the feelings.........I felt VERY VERY "Alone" especially at night (it was Dark / Quiet & there was "Only ME" to cope with "This" if she had another "attack") .....

Then I found THIS web Forum & obviously its "World Wide"...... so when the UK is Asleep the USA is awake I found I could "open Up" to some VERY understanding Members on here who "were there for me" & I quickly learnt I was NOT alone & we discussed things on hundreds of subjects & my anxiety lessened ..........

My advise toyou is ... if EVER you feel you need to "Talk" or feel the need to "hear a friendly "Voice" to take away the Anxiety you feel" you could do NO BETTER than Post a thread on here & just "CHAT" ....... you would SERIOUSLY be amazed at the depth of Feeling & Knowledge members have on here ........

So, dont be Shy, if you feel the Anxiety Creeping on .... Sit down, Log on, & Chat away ..... You'll get the very same "Treatment" as you would if you paid out $1000 for sitting / lying on a "professionals" couch ...... & after 15 or 20 minutes "Chatting" that little voice in yer head will say ...... "ANXIETY?????? .............. WHAT ANXIETY .... I feel FINE NOW"

STAY SAFE KIDDO ..... Yer amongst FRIENDS HERE!!!!!

Hi Joey
Anxiety is a difficult thing to deal with, I found that when I switched from smoking to vaping I would occasionally have anxiety, I don't think it was the vaping but I do think it was withdrawal from all the other chemicals in cigarettes. Be sure that you are drinking plenty of water as vaping is dehydrating and dehydration can cause all kinds of nasty symptoms. Excellent advice from Keith, we are all here to help each other, good luck and hang in there!

Nice job there fella. Only about 5% make it from there. My emergency first aid instructor tells us if you don't break a rib during chest compressions you probably aren't pressing hard enough.
