So, I'm expecting my Spinner package to arrive Friday. I am anxious to start and get off cigarettes. So much so that today at the supermarket I bought a disposable Blu. It started out okay. The first couple drags I actually had throat hit and vapor. Not bad, I thought. The taste was a little off, but I figured I could deal with it. After taking several drags over about 15 or 20 minutes, I was getting less and less, and then nothing. The darned thing is dead as a doornail! How freaking disappointing!

Well, I tried a couple of disposables before I went online and started reading up on ecigs. At least the disposables gave me the idea that I could use ecigs instead of smoking.

The disposables were actually pretty pricey at around $10 and they really don't equal 2 packs of cigs like they claim IMHO. I decided that it would be expensive to quit using those.

Enjoy your spinner when it arrives.

I had the exact same experience with an njoy King recently. The first couple of hits were great, but I only got about 60 puffs (equivalent to about 6 analogues) out of it before the battery died. It's a real shame because these things could be a great introduction to vaping, but I worry that people will actually be turned off because they'll end up feeling like they've been tricked into paying $8 for something which doesn't do what it claims to do.

At least you haven't got too long to wait until your Spinner arrives!

I was lucky enough to avoid the disposable fiasco, but I did get to spend about 200 bucks at lame duck venders before I found my starter company. The only thing that held me through was there was something about vaping that struck me at my core. Now I get to taste gummy bears instead of ash and crap when I want nic.

Blu's actually kind of serve a good purpose in the vape world. They get people interested, they try them, they get disappointed with them, then they do a little bit of online research or hit up a friend who vapes and it leads to a whole new world of options they didn't know were available.

That's a good point...I always try to tell people to skip the disposable crap and get something a little more robust. They never listen (just as I didn't) It is a good starting point though.

first e cig I tried was the blu cigs (recharge one), brother friend has one. Didnt like his but lied the idea. Then I went fishing with my family and my cousin said he was quiting smoke cig and showed me his vapor king storm 2 and that was awesome, way way better them the BLU cigs. After that I figured what the hell and bought a Vapor king clearmizer. Works great. Been smoking for a few days now on one charge and one fill :) Then the kid with the blu cigs tried my brothers storm clearmizer and went out and bought one.

I tried my brother's vape and I liked it. So, I finally went ahead and ordered it. I really hadn't planned on going the disposable route, but I just really want to get started! That's why I grabbed just the one disposable. I figured it would get me started and help carry me over to Friday. ...sigh...so I wait...

My Spinner arrived a day earlier than expected. Woohoo! So, I've been vaping nearly non-stop since 4 yesterday afternoon. Oh, and haven't had a cigarette since.

Congratulations Equus! Hope you stay off the stinkies for good!

I hope I can too. This is my second go 'round with e-cigs, first time was 901s and (original) 510s. The technology has really come a looooong way in the last few years. I tried 'em in '09 and all the off-the-shelf kits had problems with leaking, short batt life, weak hits, and (for me) just generally not reliable enough to completely replace cigs.

This time I got what I consider to be a good model, and think I can quit for good with a reliable crutch.

Let's both stay off the cancer sticks... I want to be around to see my grandkids grow up, without gramps smelling like a crappy ashtray!
