Any former cig-a-like users who had good experiences with cig-a-likes?

I started with V2 cigs and they got me off smoking after 35 years of 2 packs a day. Just had to find the correct flavor I enjoyed. I still use them mostly on the go. Their EX blanks work good for e-liquid. Some of the pre-filled carts I have re-filled 15-20 times. 6 months and smoke free. Around the house CE4 batteries and Kangertech tanks.

I quit a 1.5 pack a day camel habit using Walmart cigalikes but found South Beach Smoke about a month later. My wife followed suit and we stayed with them for a about 2.5 years, when we found vaping. Only thing I regret is not using up all of our giant stockpile of cartridges before we moved to vaping. I have about $500 worth of cartridges just sitting in boxes in a closet. Grrr. No clue what to do with them.

I would recommend them to someone who wants the smaller form factor or still feels weird about looking like a freak with a more advanced vaping device. We live in the BOONDOCKS and we still get plenty of double takes and frowns when people see us vaping. Especially when I blow a giant cloud under the Friday Night Lights. Lol!

Tried 3 different cig-a-likes in the coarse of 2 days. A fin (just bad), A Njoy (strange taste), and a Mystic ( good taste, short life carto).
They proved to me that vaping could be the answer to quit cigs. Found ECF on a search for anything better, joined the Newbies, listened to advice from Baditude and 3 days later got my Ego kit, became a Vaper. Ain't life grand.
Now I have a ECF addiction. Is there a 12 step program for this?
So, yes, I would call my cig-a-like experience good.

I think I finally identified that weird taste with the Njoys... eucalyptus. It's kinda like a Halls cough drop. :D Good TH though.

I've said it before and I'll gladly say it again: God BLESS Blu-Cigs and Vivid Vanilla. If it weren't for that fateful night when I stopped by a Walgreens on a whim and picked up a Blu starter kit, I may still be smoking cigarettes. I may have eventually found vapor, but the Blu's certainly got me on the right track, even tho I changed up to more advanced equipment rather shortly. I liked the flavor (especially the Vivid Vanilla), the handy charging case, and don't forget the cool little blue light at the end of the battery :p.

It depends on what your goal is, what your tolerance to be connected to a charger is, and what works for you. If I was recommending a starter kit and the smoker wanted easy peasy, I sure might recommend Blu-Cigs, explain the pros and cons, and I would also recommend trying other kits, such as an ego-style twist battery with various tanks for the more inclined.

They simply did the job in an easy, enjoyable way for me, and I'm going on 2 years shortly. I kid you NOT, when I'm in a convenience store and see the Blu-Cig display, I remember very fondly the very minute I tried them for the first time. That was the END of cigarettes for me, once and for all (after all the times I tried to quit without success).

I think most of the members here had a good enough experience with cigalikes that they are still here.
Most of us moved on for battery life first, then vapor, flavor.... don't get me started on the leaks and feeding issues from the early versions!
Some failed, but tried again and succeeded when better devices became mainstream, like the Ego.
Cigalikes are the perfect transition for some that can move on to boxes and tubes, and then there are those of us that still want something that resembles a cigarette. I have both.
If someone had handed me an MVP and said "Here, use this instead!", I would have laughed at them.
I love that I can stop into a quick stop and pick up a decent disposable if my Eroll, Istick, or Egrip fails, or I run out of liquid...
Cigalikes will always have a place in this market.

Yeah, when I needed to get back to 100% vaping this summer, I used my eRoll again, during the transition from cigarettes to e. It helps a lot for that use, kinda confusing the mental part of the habit, is it a real cig or an e-cig, oh who cares, it's good! :D

I wonder if any of those new Njoy flavors are available in the Njoy disposables? Because of all the drugstore cigalikes I tried, that one seemed best to me, but I didn't care for the flavor of the original "Light" version. Too much like a Hall's cough drop, which I've never liked.

I love the Njoy Kings!, But I really question what's in them. BT f'd with me for 40 years and I don't trust them. I don't want to give them my money either. They brought in product development people from BT. That first hit wasn't just nicotine. They will have to tell me the truth before I will try their products again.

I tried the shorter batteries in order to have something closer to the size of a cigarette. Whether the 65 mm 808d or the 180 mah 510, the battery life is so short that it's too irritating to use even with a PCC. But, the longer 78 mm 808d or 280 mah 510 are doable as long as you have a PCC (or two) to carry with you.

If I really had to, I guess I could stay off cigarettes with the Volt or with a low resistance atty or carto on a 510 battery. But, I have bigger batteries and mods, VV, VW, and tanks that only have to be topped off once or twice a day. I'm spoiled now.

Started with a Blu kit my wife had picked up, and was rapidly disappointed with all their flaws. Found V2 with some online research, and ordered a big starter kit. V2 got me off a 2 1/2 pack- 20 year habit, so I guess I had success with cig-a-likes. V2 went by the wayside fairly rapidly though, as I transitioned to ego twists and kangers about two months later. Two months after that I was on to a Provari and protanks... Three months later and I began with mech's and rda/rba's. I still use the Provari when I leave the house (along with a Russian 91), but at home I love my Panzer with a plume veil.

My wife's parents have decided to give vaping a try, so I passed down a couple of protank 2's, ego twists, mvp2's, and a few hundred ml's of assorted juices. PIF and all.

I started with a brand called Elite when they first appeared in mall kiosks. Then another brand took over the kiosk and I started getting the Elite's online. It wasn't enough to get off cigs, just enough to cut down a bit. Plus initially they used a separate coil unit between the cartridge and the battery, and I didn't understand about the coil needing to be replaced, used the same coils for a really long time. Then they changed to cartridges with built in coils which were better.

It didn't get me off cigs but it did put a dent in the habit. Used them on and off for years. When I stumbled across Evods by chance I knew what it was about and gave it a try. So I guess I should be grateful to the Elite's. I just looked them up on the net and they are still going. They have a starter kit for $130. Two batteries, a charger, and 5 cartomisers, which used to last me 3 or 4 days each. And the batteries never lasted me more than a couple of months. You could get a decent battery and tank and a bag full of juice for that these days.

If cigalikes hadn't come along there wouldn't have been the incentive for people to start developing better gear and we might not have all the good stuff we have now.

I started with a V2 starter kit (808 batt with cartos), and I'm still using the 808s - except now using clearos. I like 'em, and see no need to "upgrade" unless I'm forced to :p It's gotten me off a 40+-yr cigarette habit, and that's all I need.
I currently use the 280mah manual batteries with T4S clearos...relatively inexpensive, though pretty much only available from online sources. I usually have 3 in rotation. I daily carry a spare batt, extra clearo, and USB charger along with 1-2 juice bottles in the same space a cigarette pack used to take in my shirt pocket. Try that with an eGo system!
As far as "flavors", I mean WTH people - I used to "vape" burning leaves wrapped in paper! I will say that with the clearos, whatever flavor I try is MUCH better than with cartos, and it's far easier to fill/clean/etc. But, it's a seemingly never-ending uphill battle to find a flavor - any flavor - that actually tastes like what it's advertised to be
I realize I'll probably be forced to "upgrade" in the near future - if so, I may go with the e-smart 510s or similar. Anything beyond that is too big/bulky
